Help Iron Heart Part 2

The helmet i got from iron heart part 1 when I completed the quest in I think between 2016-2017 doesn't work I'm up to the part in iron heart part 2 where you need to go interrogate and I've tried dragging and dropping and shift clicking the helmet on I've tried not wearing the helmet at all and just leaving it in the inventory and it wont let me in and keeps telling me I need the factory helmet I've also tried /fixquests and it did nothing I just wanna have all my quests I currently have finished. I am not making another character to speed run to level 49 just to get the helmet all over again when my main character is level 58. Any advice or help on this would be great this has bothered me alot in the last day since its the last quest I need to do complete the quests I need to get done atm.

 

This sounds like a bug, maybe because they changed factory helmet and older ones don't work...?
I honestly have no clue though, but I would try making a bug report in the bug reports section here on the forums, that way you can get help from QA members that might know what the issue is.

 

Have you tried removing the helmet from your inventory? One way you can do this is by splitting a stack of emeralds to fill every other slot in your inventory with 1 emerald (hold right click and drag it over any empty spot). Make sure you still have a splittable number of emeralds after this (like 2), and split that to replace the helmet with 1 emerald. Then, you can throw the helmet out. The helmet disappears into thin air even though the annoying red message "You need this in future quests" shows up. Once the helmet's gone, collect all the emeralds back into 1 stack and type /fixquests. If you get unwanted / useless quest items, try the command several times and throwing out the other items with the full inventory method. My guess is that the game will give you a new, unidentified version of the Factory Helmet.
