I turn back to the group and say "Let's follow the lord, i doubt you have anything more important to do"

 

I look at blue and ask if they need healing

 

Maer openly scoffs but doesnt say anything against it.

 

"A bit rude, don't you think? At the very least, let them compose themselves before they decide to follow or not."

 

"Ah i apologise. I did not mean to be rude, I just thougt that if the lord needs us there is nothing more important!"

You follow the lord up to the Dephira keep, where you all sit down at a table. "Those zombies, the spike," he mutters. "I need the five of you to head to Viridia. There is a mage, named Pilante, there who knows more about undead and darkness than I do. Complete any duties you must here, then travel along the east road. Tell him I sent you, and tell him about the attack. Unfortunately, I cannot spare any gold, because if what I fear is true, I will need every last copper to build an army to stand against the darkness. Maer plops herself into the seat. Her eyes wander, looking at the other people and entrances in the room, rather than focusing on the lord when he speaks.
"So are we going to get an explanation before you think you can order us around?"

 

Astra tilts her head to the side in confusion.

" Why? All we did was fight off some weak zombies. Nothing special, really. Nothing that would really warrant something like... this?"

She pauses for a moment.

"And even so, why us? I'm sure these folks have lives here, it's not like they can just uproot themselves. I mean, unless they can, but most people tend to be tied down..."

 

"I'm nearly as clueless as you are. The only possible explanation for what happened down there is… the realm of darkness."

"Exactly. The only zombies out world has ever gotten have only been from magical items affecting the crypts and graveyards. They don't just appear inside the city, much less with a giant black spike."
