Ya know I've always wondered.
Why does the Wynn soundfont only have percussion, bass, and harp.

I'm guessing it's for pack size constraints?

Edit: I haven't played Wynn in a bit and nvm, pack went from 4 MB to 30 lol, probably not pack constraints Ig

(but god dang there are 3MB models with 6500 cubes. That doesn't seem correct to me?)

 

Cause at the time we had access to only those five note blocks, and since the server is still running 1.8 or 1.9 backend, we don't have access to the newer sounds to add to the repertoire.

Isn't it be possible to add custom sounds to a resource pack, and play them with /playsound? Or replace unused sounds with new instruments?

 

Yes, this way you can also get 4, or 6 octave support for instruments (going beyond that is unnecessary and sounds hot garbage)
*(Turn one instrument, which has 2 octaves, into 3 instruments, each covering an octave.)
iirc ONBS supports like 16 custom instruments per song or something.
I guess the issue though is that if you start adding more instruments now, you'd have to go back and update some older songs which would be a pain

 

I can definitely hear this being adapted to Wynncraft Note Blocks XD
