You all go back to the farm, where you see Hachie Hou rocking on a chair on his porch, smoking a pipe. The sun is starting to go down, and little George is nowhere to be found

I approach Hachie (the farmer who owns this land, yes?).

"I believe the infestation is taken care of. I don't know where they came from, but there were undead beneath the fields... the plague, probably. There was also a strange monstrosity the likes of which we'd never seen before... but we dealt with it nonetheless."

 

Heat also approaches Hachie.

"Excuse me, where has the child gone off to?"

 

"Probably up to no good"

 

Heat turns around promptly after hearing Althiaos' plain response, quite obviously to deliver a harsh insult but simply sighs before returning focus towards the farmer.

 

"Also, there was a lot of treasure in their cave. My companions in their generosity made different piles to share between ourselves, that'ts why I choose to only take one quarter of my pile and let the rest for you. It should be enough to repay for the damage caused by the rats and will pay my services. Don't thanks me, money isn't something I'm fond of."

 

"Ah, well, I appreciate it. I'm afraid I don't have much to pay you with."

"He ran off when the sun started to go down. Back to wherever he usually spends his nights."

"Oh, oh my. I can't believe it."

 

"I must thank you as this activity entertained my boring day in this city. Tomorrow I will continue my quest of not being bored by helping the guy you spoke about earlier today."

 

"We also found numerous skulls down there, some of them humanoid... I believe that despicable beast had been killing people and hoarding their treasures for quite some time... for lack of any way to return them to their former owners, we decided to offer a share to you for your grievances and take the rest in lieu of payment."

 

If the store owner has anything else to say, I'll head back to the inn.

He walks off coldly in search of Maddie, remembering her mention of an invention in the works. Once he's far off enough from the party he murmurs to himself:
"The sickening undead will fall to chains of woe and oblivion... and it takes just a single flame for us to tear them all asunder. Hehehehe."
