Wynncraft: Exploration & Navigation Update.

So, if this isn't an official Wynncraft update, then what is it? It's a massive suggestion I've had in my head for a long while, and I'm currently looking for people to help work on it!

The goal of the suggestion is to expand on the feeling of adventure given to you by Wynncraft. We will be doing this by reworking map design, mounts, movement in general, and navigation.

If you would like to contribute to this suggestion, message me on discord and I will give you a server invite. I'm looking forwards to working with all of you.

(Also please don't be pissed off after realizing it isn't an actually update. Don't kill me community-kun.)

Sense this seems to be flying over everyones heads, this isn't a suggestion, at least not yet.
I made this post to get interested people from the community so we could work together. The actually suggestion will come way, way down the line. I.e. this is litteraly just a discord invite.

think this thread could do with a few more details entailing what youre actually doing (and a Community Event flair)
like wdym by improving "movement in general" and "navigation"? making better maps?

 

Exactly. I don’t know why you didn’t post this in General Suggestions. Novalescent already made a couple of great playable suggestions with the help of the community and didn’t do it in this format.

 

Like I would with any suggestion, you should add some detail.

The suggestion hasn't been made yet, I made this thread to ask for help.

Which is why its not under general suggestions.
I have a couple of plans, sure, but none of them are fleshed out, because I'm hoping to work on this with people out of the community.

im interested in the most general gist of what the project is for. you say youll be reworking map design, but how? will you make a new minecraft map or illustrations? that kinda fundamental thing

 

That hasn't been decied yet! The suggestion is being worked on!!!

Did you even read what I said? The map design is part if the suggestion, we will be working on how to redesign the map to be better for exploration, I haven't done it yet.

Look this thread was just meant to be a discord invite so I can get some people to start working with. Its nothing more, nothing less.

Its bare bones for a reason.

 

oh sorry i assumed there was some sort of plan or idea of what kind of structure youre looking for people to work on
kind of hard to get on board to a project with no initial plans, decisions or concepts

i mean it sounds cool and im all for this kind of fan-drived work but... theres just no direction given for potential helping hands as to what theyll be working on. "expanding on the feeling of adventure" is really super vague

I dont quite understand what you guys are actually aiming to do and what the end result would be specifically
but I am totally willing to help out, this sounds interesting
also I am a very experienced Bukkit/Spigot developer, intermediate experience with forge
also i can do other stuffs like discord bots, web servers, API endpoints and whatnot
erased because im realized that you might not actually be doing this in game

Just to clarify - are you looking for people to help you write out the suggestion (without actually coding anything) or are you looking for people to help actually create it in game?

Both.
Most things will be mostly just text, as we can't, for example, redesign and create the Wynncraft map XD.
However, certain things, I may ask nova to help actually code.

 

So like places you can only access witch certain mounts?
