    What do you think? Should the level Cap be raised even more or should it stay like that?

    Personally, I don't think it should be raised. This is because the level gap between lower level players and higher level players will be even higher, which makes it a bit more harder to meet players when adventuring.
    But it seems that no matter what, the level cap has to raise since even more when content is added in the future like how Silent Expanse happened.

    Do you have any solutions? or do you think it's fine to raise the level cap like how they did with Silent Expanse?

    Imo I'd raise it to be 110 softcap, and 111 hardcap. They're just nicer numbers tbh

    I believe the level cap should be raised with a revamp that completely redoes the ways levels 60-100 are handled in Gavel.

    The level ranges in Gavel are stretched so thin that when exploring it's mostly traveling between quests and not staying in one area for a while like you do in the Wynn province. (Like how all the level 40ish quests in Wynn are in Taiga are, all the 30ish quests are in the Desert-Mesa.

    The level 60-70 area alone takes up: Kander Forest, Lexdale, Efilim, Light Forest, Cinfras, Gylia Lake, Aldorei (Basically, a lot of land)

    I get that there is a massive difference in experience from 30-50 to 60-70 but compare the level 60-70 area (In Gavel) to the Sky Islands and Molten Heights. There is so much wasted space in Gavel.

    (Also the Wynn province is 1-75, Gavel is 40-100. But... Gavel is around 33% bigger.) So instead of Gavel being from 40-100 it should be like 40-120

    Maybe, the number seems to be a good one. But there's something I don't like about it... probably because of how distracting it can be?

    It's really only going to get raised if the mechanics need it to. Economy update raised the cap by 3 in order to make the level part of the professions system work, and Silent Expanse raised the cap to then be able to use Dernic materials (even if that on its own is pretty much not a reason considering the levels are way off). It's pretty clear that the next level cap raise will not be until either Fruma or Dern, when there's little to no place left in the other parts of the game to add content and they're not trying to cram in just a new profession level.

    I don't even think next update is going to have that next tier of professions, so there's pretty much no reason to raise the cap, unless the Dernic materials being weird gets corrected, but that would still require some pretty sizable new area which I doubt will happen. Are you expecting a cap raise?

    Anyway, I really don't think raising the level cap when it's not ready to be raised is a good idea. I really expect the next level cap raise to be a big one, probably 120 or 125 along with the new province, which is still quite some time away.

    Also, spreading the level ranges in this region increases the dramatic level gap between adjacent regions. Llevigar/LF is most notable here but depending on how you assign level ranges it could apply elsewhere as well. Level gaps are newbie-unfriendly because it's easy for them to wander into the higher level area and die (Detlas/Nesaak is a common culprit from my experience).

    It's hard for me to agree with you; I firstly disagree with the level range you've pinned on that region, and I also believe that the risk of spreading the levels there is problematic as I've explained.



    Not raising the level cap is sensible, as Bart has said. I'd personally be okay with an increase in the level cap if existing endgame items/regions are shifted to the new cap as well, such as mythics and LI. There's no particular number that's intuitively ideal — it depends more on the content that demands the change in the first place.

    personally i feel like it's inevitable, even though i'd rather it wasn't raised

    also ha ha items funny when level range up

    what happens to hive items when they are 20 levels below the max level? will qira hive quest level be raised? will they drop out of the meta?
    what about the current endgame mythics?

    I'm asking in general if the level cap should ever be raised up again, I also don't expect it to be raised until Fruma or Dern get released.
    Personally, I don't support raising the level for the reasons I mentioned before.

    I think eventually, the level cap will have to be raised to accommodate new areas and ideas into the game, but the amount of work that would have to go into changing the level cap significantly is a lot. They would have to add completely new endgame items or change the levels of the current endgame items. They would have to figure out what they will do with mythics, meaning keeping them at the level that they currently are or altering them to fit the level. They would have to implement new places to grind professions and new materials for those professions so you could create crafted gear that fits the new level cap. Not to mention on the side of the players, if the level cap went up, would all their level 90-100 amazing gear just become useless? The item team may have to find a way around that as well.

    Anyways, I think the level cap should be raised if we are talking about when Fruma and Dern are both released and raised pretty significantly as well, but not for a while. I appreciate the gradual level changes they are currently doing and they seem to be working as well.

    If the level cap gets increased, I expect items to be balanced around the current lv100 baseline.

    I don't want the cap to be raised. From what we see now, the current only possible post-SE areas are Dern and The Nether (probably just Dern), and the two levels of 104 and 105 could very well inculde Dern.

    At the moment, there is no reason for the cap to be raised.

    The level cap will be raised at some point because of Dern and possibly Fruma. Fruma guards are level 60, so if the Fruma update will give us a province comparable to Wynn or even Gavel, it wouldn't be far fetched to see lvl 120 as the new cap. However, devs stated that they regret raising the level cap by such a huge margin in 1.14 (75 to 100) so I'm not sure if we're gonna get 20 NEW levels worth of content (on top of the rest of Fruma) in one update. Fruma being released in two parts would partly solve that problem maybe.

    Dern is at least level 105, since SE is level 100-105. Would be weird if Dern itself was just as powerful as an infected province of Wynn imo.

    Lastly, if Dern and Fruma will only have content within the current level range, how would the devs ever add new content to existing provinces without overcrowding each level range with stuff? I mean currently some level ranges could still use some content but with two entire provinces I think everything will get saturated quite quickly.

    Lastly lastly, Bloomi and Morgor are confirmed to be level 200 and 300 respectively sooo they better build up to that

    Where is this said? Bloomi and Morgor are jokes (especially Morgor) and raising the cap by 200 seems absolutely ridiculous.

    Whatever you read or heard, it must have been a shitpost or something (or you are joking).

    You can also say that it is "weird" that Theorick, a mage that can destroy the Wynn province and freeze an area as big as Nesaak in seconds, is weaker than a bird in Sky Islands.

    Though, having Dern be very powerful could be interesting, having it so that even the endgame level 100 items struggle against it, and with the players not having access to any stronger items to "overpower" Dern.
