So... When did y’all start playing Wynn? Let’s all take a trip on memory lane and think about what Wynn was like when we first joined. I’ll start. I joined mid-2016, a few months after Gavel came out, and at that time...

• Wynn, Gavel, and the ocean were the only explorable areas
• None of the oldest quests got replaced yet, so most quests sucked
• Seaskipper didn’t exist, so any island quest was a nightmare
• There was literally NOTHING to do in the endgame
• The Molten Heights and Sky Islands were completely barren and devoid of content
• There was no incentive to explore; If you found something cool, you weren’t given XP and it wasn’t recorded in your quest book
• Items were bland since powders didn’t exist, and there were no “meta” items since a lot of then sucked
• The dungeons were still awful and laughably bad to the point where they might as well not have existed
• In general, a lot of inconveniences; For instance, sprinting took up mana, but you need mana for spells...
• Environments were bland and lacking detail. Try to see if you can find any pre-2016 snapshots of the Wynn province and compare them to the Silent Expanse.
• This may sound petty, but one thing that I do miss about the old Wynn was the atmosphere. It was just a simpler time that almost felt timeless and nostagic; Now, the devs are pushing Minecraft to its limits. While I appreciate that, sometimes I reminisce about how Wynn used to be so simple.

 

I joined just before 1.17 after reading about Wynn in some minecraft guide thingy, played for a few months, then left. I came back around mid-2018, and have continued to play since then. Somwhow, I still don't have even a level 100 class

Sometimes I get a little jealous of the people who really haven’t played the game much; I was addicted in 2017 and 2018, and afterwards, I just kinda got burnt out and moved on to other games. I wish I had the passion that I once felt for the server. However, I have been playing for the past 6 months because of Shaman, so that’s something.

I joined I think sometime after the Wyynter Update in 2014. I remember getting up to like level 40 and having Chained Pixels leggings, which I found pretty cool considering it was a legendary. The grind for green powders was trash tho. I only had an archer class, so that combined with my bad ping led to escape spamming across Wynn basically all of the time instead of sprinting. The builds were still pretty cool tho, even without a texture pack. I don't think I really explored the ocean tho, cause I think I wanted to explore Wynn first.

However, I think it was a lack of quests around level 40 that caused me to quit for a year. I only came back because I stumbled upon the server header ingame, saying that Gavel was about to be released, with a countdown.

And, the rest is history, I think.

 

Literally when it first released to public I think.
Although I remember being able to go to Almuj and not being VIP so idk.
