Wynncraft Shower Thoughts

A thread for shower thoughts relating to Wynn.

I'll start:

Cities in Wynncraft are nowhere near the size of cities in the real world. They're more like towns.
The people that own the Temple of Legends let you kill their trainers.

If you don't know what a shower thought is, it's basically thoughts that come to you, usually in the shower. Most of the time they are revelations or epiphanies.

 

If canonically more than one person successfully finished the Temple of the Legends challenge, does that mean that Bob can have his soul crushed more than once? Were there more than one witches in Maltic's well? Does Yahya always lose his goddamn bowl? Does the Corrupter of Worlds just respawn?

How the hell can the Eye see the entire province of Wynn from atop the Eldritch Outlook? It doesn't even look that tall.

Why did they just decide to build Detlas next to Wynn's source of corruption? If Detlas was already there before 0 AP, why did nobody just move out as soon as they saw the portal? Why is Detlas not virtually uninhabited?

Did nobody in Corkus just get the idea of, like the supercomputer said, throw a match at the factory door? Or just set off a big explosion inside the Factory?

 

Who rules Wynn? Is is the king of Ragni? Maybe the king of Troms?
And what about Gavel? Llevigar is called the "royal city", so is the ruler of Llevigar the ruler of Gavel?

 

How does the blacksmith in llevigar break down your weapons without a forge?

 

The red crystal survives in the Volcanic Isles but The king of ragni somehow burns it in lava

 

Who put all the unidentified items into boxes?

Where do all of the guild wars mobs hide before they appear? Where did they come from in the first place?

If the seaskipper captain is the only one running the business, why are there stands for his tickets at basically every island?

 

Why don't we go insane after traveling to the moon in A Recipe for Disaster, when lunar-related objects cause people to lose their minds?

Could it be that it isn't actually the real moon?

 

I don't think it's the moon itself that causes insanity but cosmic magic generally. It could also cause insanity over an extended period of time.

That said, the idea of a Wynnic lunar colony slowly being driven to insanity would definitely make for an interesting story, especially since we know people can travel to and survive on the moon since we've done it.

 

If there were no humans in prehistoric wynn how did we figure out there were giants before us

Why do dungeons exist? Almost everything about dungeons makes no sense. Take a look at Ice Barrows for the best example. Theorick sealed himself away there so he couldn’t hurt anyone. So why are there token counters and conveniently-formatted parkour? Someone would’ve had to build it by hand, and Theorick was too weak to. The only dungeon that makes sense from a practical point of view is Fallen Factory. Although stacking metal parts to climb on and destroying gates with volatile cores is still outlandish, I can at least buy that the rooms are indeed parts of an actual factory.

Also, why do merchants at dungeons want the remains of the boss in exchange for items? What do they even do with them? Make potions? Keep them as knick knacks? What if they hold as much power as the WynnEx crystals and selling them to the merchants is doing more harm than good?

 

I think for the first one, instead of every person who wanted to enter the Temple having to get the exact same items we got, Kelight asks for other stuff instead. We don't know how often people qualify to enter the Temple, maybe it's extremely rare? Maybe the province had different problems going on when the last person managed to get in, and Kelight wanted them to show they were "legendary" or whatever by having different items.

I have no clue about the Corrupter of Worlds, though. I guess Kelight traps a different monster in that cave whenever the previous one dies.

 

As for the Corrupter of Worlds, if Kelight says that he can’t survive against it,* how was Kelight able to put the Corrupter of Worlds in its cave?

Why is gavel so unnaturally rectangular?

also how the fuck did a volcano range end up next to floating islands?

 

Before parts of the sky islands fell into the void, it is implied that the region had pretty much no entrances to the void. Therefore, there is no canonical evidence against the entirety of the world actually just being one floating island above voidspace.

 

Why would solid emerald compress into liquid emeralds if a liquid takes up more space than a solid? Are liquid emeralds really liquified emerald blocks or are they some sort of other substance disguised and used as a meaningless currency?

It is stated that emeralds can be mined and it's a pretty significant part of the lore but at no point are there any Emerald mining nodes for the player to gather from, implying that the mines have run dry. In that case, how is new currency being introduced into the economy at all? Are the blacksmiths paying you for your heaps of junk just absolutely loaded or what?

 

Why are people ok with us just walking into towns and injuring/killing the citizens for fun/getting ls or ms?

Why are npcs sometimes so blind.

Why do npcs confine with random strangers their secret/important missions. I am literally a random wynn soldier from fruma. Then again why are we not as well know as Bob or Seigefried? We are saving the world on quiet a regular basis. Then again we can be anywhere from pure and good to bringers of chaos.

Why do npcs not react when you finish a quest like 10 real life hours later, or just not do a quest. What happens?

 

Why do spiders and wolves carry cash and weapons? Is there just someone out there strapping spears to the back of massive spiders and shoving a couple of bucks in the mouths of angry wolves?
