Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good day/night. I am level 32, but I don't know what level my fishing, gathering, wood cutting, and farming level should be at. Currently my level is all level 15 and wood cutting is level 16. What should most of my skills level be at right now in the game?

    Hello!

Personally, I think there's no required level that your skills/professions should be at. While it's true you can sell materials you gather for money, and make some interesting and unique gear with crafting, doing these professions is in no way necessary for beating every dungeon or quest. So to answer your question: level your skills/professions up to whatever level you want, if you want to level them up at all. If they aren't fun for you, then don't do them. But if you find them relaxing or entertaining, then feel free to do them however much you want to.

The skill grind isn't boring to me personally, but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't rushing through the game to quickly, I try to stay in the level 20 area's so that I can get better gear and level and my skill, thank you for clarifying!

It may not be boring yet, but starting from around level 60 it turns hellish. If you like them, that's fine, but be prepared to spend HOURS after HOURS punching some rock.

Professions are completely optional, in my opinion they aren't worth it on the first playthrough, but then again, if you find it fun and relaxing, there's nothing stopping you.

I agree with what everyone else is saying but got something else to add.

I found that, when I tried to level all professions from the start on one class, until level 70 or so, I found it difficult to keep up with my combat level despite doing basically no quests or grinding combat xp because I had to grind out the ingredients. This made professions basically unusable for me until then.
because of that, if you want to do professions on a first playthrough, consider just focusing on a few crafting professions which share a gathering profession like armoring and weaponsmithing from mining and woodcutting.

Also, gathering professions (woodcutting, mining, fishing & farming) basically serve no other purpose than to allow you to gather stuff to level crafting professions. (armouring, tailoring, jeweling, etc.) So if you level gathering I suggest you to level crafting at the same time.

Finally, because gathering becomes such a grind later on, alot of people will only do professions when there are profession XP and speed bombs. To find these there is a bomb tracker on discord, if you want an invite link, you can message me.
