    Hey Wynncraft community,

I just started playing Wynncraft today and I must say the game is quite interesting, nothing I've seen before.
I played for about an hour as mage but I'm not sure if mage is the class for me. So I decided to try to figure out another class I would like. I looked at many videos and posts and trying to pick a class is almost impossible. The amount of different opinions is so great that I cannot figure out what class to choose. I mean, I guess that shows how balanced the different classes are. Anyways, if you can spare maybe a few minutes I would like to hear your opinions and maybe convince me to choose a class finally? I would be interested in the gameplay experience, and the pros and cons of each class. Anyways, in the meantime, I guess I'll just try the different classes.

    Thank you for reading.

Mage is the most forgiving out of the classes, it may have small base stats but the possibly best(?) spellpool makes up for it. Mage isn't as interesting to play as some other classes imo, but it's still definently not a bad choice.

Many say that Warrior is bad, but well, it's not terribly bad. There are many situations where Warrior's tanking abilities come in place and can save you. Warrior does have some issues, I'll admit, and spell warrior isn't an especially efficent playstyle, but if you want to play the class, go for it. The weaknesses of the class may be fun as a challenge and something to overcome.

Assassin is a very fun class to play, it's the one I started with. Assassin has a very powerful balance between damage and defense, making it a strong class to begin with. Assassin has the highest potential out of the 5 classes, you can play it efficently in a large variety of playstyles. Assassin is a close range class, and benefits from spell combos. It also has pretty good mobility and

Archer is a long range fast glass cannony class. I haven't played it much, but many say that it's also a fun class, so it is most likely a good choice aswell.

The glassy Shaman has a very interesting playstyle focused on player position, but the way Shaman's Aura spell works now makes that spell ridiculously overpowered. Still, if Shaman is the choice you want to go with, that's all up to you.

There's also nothing preventing you from trying out mage for a bit and then creating a new character with a different class to try it out.

While I personally main mage for most difficult content (i'm bad at videogames so I use it as a crutch + I like playing support characters), i've found Assassin to be one of the best experiences I've had, with its incredible mobility and wide-array of playstyles.

Archer and Shaman are similarly fun, and shaman especially has some very interesting movement mechanics if you care to try them out once you're leveled.

Warrior is arguably the weakest class in the game at current, but that makes it all the more fun to play, since you're challenging yourself to the same content but more difficult due to its less-overpowered spells and combat (Plus, the spells it does have are satisfying as hell when they work well)

You really can't make a bad choice, so experiment with everything- you've got 6 class slots after all, no reason to not make one of each to try them all out.

If it’s your first time playing, I wouldn’t suggest shaman because of its low defence and tricky play style. Similar with archer because of its defences but it would be fine to use. Warrior isn’t the best class to play solo (assuming you are), so I would suggest assassin/mage and possibly archer.

I would suggest going for archer or mage as your first character. Shaman is kinda squishy, warrior doesn't do good enough damage, and assassin requires more skill than any of the classes (some of the spell combos required for assassin are difficult to pull off). Mage will give you good survivability paired with acceptable damage, while archer will give you excellent damage with less survivability, but makes grinding very easy. Escape (Archer movement spell) can also be used to skip some annoying content. Archer also has the simplest builds at endgame.

Archer does insane damage but has low health. Before you unlock some of his spells he's pretty weak though.
Warrior doesn't do much damage but is super tanky. Probably the worst. I like him though, I'm doing a playthrough with him rn.
Mage does low damage but his spells provide alot of value.
Assassin is pretty good. High damage and defense.
Shaman is tricky. I would recommend playing as him once you are more experienced.

Also, this has nothing to do with classes, but since it's your first playthrough, don't bother with professions. They're a grind and not fun.
