Should probably point out as well as training as all of the classes, his spells are a lot different despite being the same. Seems he had a lot more control over his spells and made them more powerful as a result (seriously managing to combine arrow storm and arrow bomb together was cool)
Anyway one of his masters is also definitely dead (mael)
And nesaak discovery (next to the great bridge) has notes implying it was the dernic beast he went off to fight/seal. No idea if he's alive or not though.
