Why You Should Play Pvz 2: Eclise

After had playing the original PvZ, I was so excited when the sequel came out. Only then to see it raped by micro transactions and it has only gotten worse with grinding plant levels. Which was a shame given the amount of new content and mechanics introduced. So if you've tired PvZ 2 and got turned off by the constant ads and micro-transactions, you should DEFINITELY try this mod out. It's what the game should've been with not only being free from EA's bullshit, but also with new balances, zombies, plants, and secret stages! Unfortunately, it only works on Android, but you can use an emulator for PC called BlueStacks and you should be fine.

Even if you're never played PvZ, I'd still recommend it because it's the best PvZ game out there. Like the video says, it's a bit difficult but the original PvZ was too easy anyway and it's mostly fair.

 

Look I know you're basically the king of Nemract's Bar and all, but this really ought to be in Other Games.

This is a game I would play, but I have other games on my plate (SMT nocturne hardtype) but hopefully EA doesn’t shut it down before I can play.

 

I'd at least download so that way if they do you'll still be able to play it.

Word of advice; skip the secret levels after S-1 until you have completed the next world after your current one. S-2, S-3, and S-6 are almost impossible, and you’ll need to do S-2 before S-6 because you won’t have enough DPS without Torchwood.

 

Jesus christ yall love to slander pvz2 for no reason.

1. Quit bitching about the plant levels. Unless you suck, you don't need to level up your plants to beat adventure.

2. The premium plants are OP and yes I know that some of the original plants are locked behind a paywall, I don't like it either, but still

3. The ads aren't nearly as constant as they used to be

 

1. They do matter in Arena, so an entire game mode will be inaccessible if you don’t grind for seed packets or buy them. Which is absolutely ridiculous and makes the whole game mode Pay to Win, especially with premium plants.

2. I don’t get what your point is here if you agree with me.

3. I played the vanilla game again a month ago and I got an ad after every level or 2. The fact that you have to watch ads to replay Piñata levels or get free Guantlets shows how pervasive ads are in the game. And there’s nothing more annoying to people in entertainment to stop what you’re doing to watch an ad.

Whereas in this mod not only are all the plants and upgrades free, there’s no ads at all. The game is a lot more balanced, and the levels are more difficult, but also interesting and creative.

So that’s a lot of reasons why I don’t like the vanilla game over the mod. You can still play the vanilla game all you like; I’m not saying you can’t. I’m just saying that this mod is considerably better for those that do mind the ads and micro-transactions and want a more balanced game.

1. I'm not talking about arena. Nobody likes arena. The only people that like arena are people that blow money on the game.

2. What I meant was the addition of premium plants was unnecessary but again if you play adventure you can completely ignore them.

3. I barely get any ads at all.

 

Arena is still apart of the game though, so if it’s trash it brings down the overall quality of the game. Disregarding Arena, upgraded plants completely break the balance of the game in Adventure mode too, which already was unbalanced as it was. ECLISE gets around this by replacing plant levels with tiers that add tradeoffs, which adds more strategy to the game. It’s not even like the vanilla Adventure mode is better than ECLISE.

That’s the problem; I want to actually use them. I’ve had a blast using the premium plants in ECLISE so far and the game would be far less enjoyable otherwise. It’s one of the reasons why the level design in ECLISE is better than Vanilla Adventure because it utilizes strategies with those plants. I refuse to buy them in the vanilla game because doing so would cost way more than the original PvZ and I don’t want to reward EA for their shitty business practices.

The only thing better than some ads is no ads, so ECLISE is still better in this regard. No video game should have ads that interrupt your game. It ain’t Cable or YouTube and I resent EA for trying to make it so.

 

Oh, it's other qualities are much worse.
And I mean, Much worse.
But on the topic of Eclise, it really is a much more fun experience than Vanilla PvZ 2 (keep in mind, this is coming from someone who has far too much nostalgia for PvZ 2) and I'd say is one of the best examples of how to make a mod, it also actually requires strategy and is hard but isn't just rng garbage and bad (I'm looking at you PvZ Plus).

The only level that is dependent on RNG is 8-4, which is in the Jurassic World. You have to produce 3900 sun. Not too bad right? Wrong; the catch is that it’s also a conveyor belt level and the more plants you leave on the conveyor belt, the more it slows down. So you have to be constantly spamming plants and pray to RNGesus that you get enough sunflowers early on. And after the final wave you only get Jalopenos on the belt. I had to redo this level 20 times at least...

But other than that the game is pretty solid. Plus he’s planning on adding an easy mode to the game if you just want to be casual.

 

How do you download it? It seems very fun but Im having trouble getting it on bluestacks/phone.
(btw can i still play it if i dont have pvz2 original bacause the game is banned from the google store in hong kong)
