Serious Justice For George Floyd

Having less of a chance of going to your dream college is a pretty small price to pay in order to make society more equal. And it all kinda cancels out because of white privilege anyways.

 

But it is still a form racism, isn't it?

 

It is, but this thread is about black oppression, in the context of police brutality, whites have a clear privilege compared to blacks. It's the sad reality, and not the white person's fault at all, that's why this systemic racism shit is evil.

According to the definition of racism, yes. However, given the vast difference in level of oppression compared to other marginalized groups, as well as the privilege white people hold, its really not comparable. Additionally, since most policies that discriminate against white people were instituted to try and address the oppression of minorities, "fixing" reverse-racism shouldn't be a priority.

I didn't say that it is, it was a reply to someone who said that there isn't anti white racism

 

Speaking out against racism should be everywhere

It won't cancel out because of "white privilege" in this case, the examiners only have your work to go off, they won't go "ah yes this man wasn't born in this country therefore I will give him a lower mark", they don't show their name to markers always and when they do can they really guess the race of "James Brown" or "Elizabeth Miller?"

I don't have an issue with minorities having a bit more lenient gateways into Universities, they still have to pass their exams and earn their degree when they get there.

It's absolutely disgusting how black people are treated in America, and elsewhere (it's not just America, racial bias happens in every single country in the world), police need to have more training than just half a year and the gun laws in America are horrendous.

If you want to discuss Affirmative Action, you'll need to be a legal scholar. [Don't yell at me!] Affirmative Action has been through the US courts, all the way to the Supreme Court. If you want to understand it better, read this article, in Wikipedia. It should keep you occupied for a few minutes. A few hours? Maybe longer? Anyway, it's a digression from the focus of the OP's post. And that focus appears to have very strong support, here. Good. It should.
