Community Event Summer Tournaments - Ffa Tournament June 27th

Why do you have to do events after I leave :(

 

Mythics, and possibly some other items, are likely to be banned. As for pots, we don't think we will be allowing any consumables of any sorts, as it becomes harder to manage. We are also banning heal spell to help balance that out (also so that a mage can't just like spam heal forever lmao). Shaman class can NOT participate in the ffa tournament, there is a separate tournament for shaman. I will look into Moontower, good catch. Our goal is to balance this out.

I am very unfamiliar with hunted mode. The tournament will be with brackets, in which duels will be arranged and the victor advances. Are hunted classes able to duel?

If you can explain a little more I can get a definite response. There may be a scenario where this works, although I apologize if it doesn't.

Unfortunately, you aren't able to duel in Hunted Mode, it's just open world PvP. I'll start leveling another character then.

 

I am curious on how these rules will be enforced. Might I suggest forcing participants to disable weapon skins so that they can not just simply switch to a mythic without being caught and using the wynntils feature to monitor armor and weapons use. What will be the penalty is a mage accidentally uses heal spell as it would be easy to do this? And what are penalties to using pots or consumables? Is it going to be on the honor system?

I feel like assasin would win no matter what because vanish is op and would be able to kill basically all classes but shaman so what is assasin and shaman be in their own league?

Shaman *hard* counters assassin, because the shaman can just sit in the middle of totem- the only threat is smoke bomb. @Richboys111

We can explore removing vanish.
When it comes to spells, our event moderators will be able to catch them. As for weapon switching, that is noticeable too, and we will inspect weapons before a duel begins. Of course, accidentally healing may occur, and in that case there will be a penalty. But if it was an honest mistake, we may restart the duel. It is circumstantial.

 

Removing vanish isn't a good idea. It removes all depth from assassin vs assassin, while vanish isn't even that strong in FFA since any stray hit knocks you out of invis.

 

Nothing is definite about vanish.

Spell bans are only applicable in ffa. No spells will be banned in the class v class tournaments.

 

If you can't swap weapons won't it be a bit unfair about what build your opponent has, is it just going to be grab a weapon and lets see how lucky I am with what their build is. Or are we going to inspect items beforehand?

Announcement:
The location of the event will now be on the Wynncon server.
What does this mean? All PvP will be balanced, and we no longer have to worry about regulations as it will be balanced and fair.

This also means we have the potential to do other activities. While we are doing bracket tournaments, we could have another legitimate ffa in which it will be like nether PvP.

This will allow everyone to use their builds, while keeping the fairness of the event.

Is it possible to quit the tournament after you've signed up? Coz I would love to participate
but also I probably won't be able to participate if wynncraft's proxies aren't fixed by then...

Since the event will be on Wynncon, we are also looking into other possible actives. .

One of them is lowkey like a hunger games, but Wynn PvP instead. An arena, last standing wins? You get the gist.

Thank you to some of the folks who signed up. . although it is no longer necessary.

Instead, we will be announcing what tournaments are happening in #summer-tournaments in our discord and you will be able to log into the Wynncon server and join the queue for tournaments you want to participate in when they are occur.

Tournaments will now feature class v class, ffas and even team battles. Other PvP activities will also be present.
