SPOILER What Happens If You Choose To Stay?

You know the point of no return quest, right? I want to know what happens if you choose to don't return to reality.

 

You don't finish the quest

 

You stay there, in the alternate Lutho, in the dream, forever. You end up as all of the Lutho inhabitants have. Your accomplishments, your failures, your adventure; they are all forgotten. Dust settles in the city as its last trace of life leaves it. It too is gradually forgotten. Eventually, another adventurer braves the passage, ventures past the ruins of a once proud city, fights their way through forest of eyeballs - which watch them, almost like the departed spirits of those who were here before, traverses the Silent Expanse and enters at long last the empty city, the one last hidden speck of free, light-touched land, hidden within. Perhaps in doing so, this adventurer finds your eyeless body, and wonders what happened. But the is no one to tell them. You and the rest of Lutho have all given up. They too may stumble upon the dream, and they too will be presented with the same choice, stay there in happiness in a false life, or return to a world filled with despair. What will they choose?
