Timeverse - Roleplay [7/999]

"You're a bit aggressive" I'll try doing the same thing i did to the water elementalist, but this time cooling not heating

 

A couple minutes pass before the amulet decides to make small talk.

So... what do you plan on doing?

"Notingburg is a couple days away if you go by car. You could probably just go to the nearest major city and pay a Shardaic Mage to teleport you to somewhere near Notingburg. That would only take a few hours..."

You cool down the fire elementalist's body temperature and his movements and attacks begin to slow down. He creates a massive ring of fire around him to combat your shenanigans but your magic dominates after a few more seconds. The fire elementalist passes out due to sleepiness and lack of bloodflow.

With both of the aggressors now passed out, you take a look at the young teenager they were harrassing. He has a couple deep scars and burn marks on his arms, legs, and chest. He's bleeding a bit too much... he's practically dead. Maybe you can still save him?

The man who is a spy in Stacked Deck appears in the corner of your vision.

"Are you done yet?"

 

"Almost" I'll try to cautorize the wounds to stop the bleeding

 

I will cross the boarder and make a weapons deal. And also I wanna see a tree

 

You cauterize the excessively bleeding wounds... but not all attempts are unsuccessful. The kid is definitely savable with proper treatment but that requires getting him to the hospital in a timely fashion.

"Just leave the body," the man says.

You estimate the kid has about an hour to live. That should be more than enough time to get the body to the hospital and get him some treatment. However, you're not sure if the man will stick around.

Why do you want to see a tree?

 

"I suppose that I'll start heading there in the morning after observing the woods once more after the barriers fall. If anyone needs me, I'll be outside trying something out."

Spoiler: Only works if Mikos can do the following

Head outside and see how fast I can fly, and how well I can control it. If both aren't at the level in which Mikos would think it'll take to get there at a car's pace in one piece, attempt to push the limits until either he tires out or he gets to a satisfactory point.

Spoiler: Reasoning for flight

Channeling an aspect of comets, probably. Limitations are most likely that it's very hard to change direction once he gets going, and it takes a good distance to slow down so that he doesn't end up becoming meat paste. On that note, he could forgo the slowing down if he required an impact of sorts, just need to heavily concentrate magic to prevent meat pastening, thus winding him for a bit.

Mikos can kind of fly... it's more of a charge. He can channel an aspect of comets but only for a short duration of time. Even 'flying' a distance of 30 meters takes a lot of effort. Mikos tries for a couple more minutes and he's able to gain more altitude and distance in his short durations of flight but it doesn't seem super practical in traveling.

A few minutes later, Aliruja comes outside and asks Mikos while he is flying, "I forgot to ask... do you want anything to eat?"

 

"Can you give me some time? I can't let this kid die"

 

Midas enjoys seeing trees. To him they look like trees. Midas waits while beplep flies to the post modern Border.

 

Ah, there goes that idea. I can improve that over time, but as of right now, using this method to travel is out of the question... Now while flight is proving difficult, what about hovering? Perhaps I could temporarily reduce, or even remove the effects of the planet's gravity?

Mikos will try to hover in place, then conjure up a mixture of rock clusters, small fireballs, and points of light and have them rotate around him at varying speeds and angles, again to test limitations.

"Ah, yes, that would be appreciated, I'll be there in a minute."

 

The man sighs. "How much time do you need?" He pulls out his pipe and starts smoking again.

Perhaps an hour would be enough since the kid can only live for an hour. The main problem is getting the kid to the hospital.

What now?

The shared border between the modern and post-modern timezones is in the middle of the ocean. Beplep will stop at the coast of the Detinu Nations.

Why trees? Most of them are just plants.

Mikos can 'hover' in the air for about 20-30 seconds before it starts to drain his magic. He can hover about 10 meters above the ground but the higher he goes, the less stable his hovering is.

Suddenly, a bright orange flash appears in the corner of Mikos's eye while he's up in the air. Mikos turns to see what it was but the source of the flash is nowhere in sight. The flash came from the other side of the time barrier in the woods (Konyu is really close to the time barrier).

What was that? A few more smaller flashes go off in the distance behind where the orange flash was. Mikos can't identify the source of the smaller flashes either. No one else is outside to see this.

A few moments later, Aliruja comes outside and says, "Dinner is ready." He seems unfazed by the fact that Mikos is hovering in the air. Wacky magic must be common in this area.

 

"This kid will only survive an hour so i won't need more then that."

 

The man sighs. "Alright. Come back to the same alleyway in an hour." He disappears into the shadows.

The problem now is getting the kid to the hospital.

What now?

 

I'll try pick him up gently and carry him back to the hospital

 

Note that until further notice, my responses may lack the usual formatting and be overall shorter than usual.

So, they've noticed... That might be unfortunate. They should know about this, should anything happen...

Mikos will return to the house, eat said dinner, then pull Aliruja to the side after dinner's done.

"While I was out there, it appears that whatever I was doing has alerted the ones watching us from the north, prompting what I can assume to be some kind of signal further up north. What that may mean for us, I have no idea."

I've had other things to work on that take up my time. Nico aand Will can share a room

 

You pick up the kid from his puddle of blood. You can't get a stable carrying position because the body is wet from the blood and the rain. The kid is too slippery and a little too heavy to be able to carry to the hospital. Perhaps if two people were to carry him, maybe.

The spy in Stacked Deck is gone though.

What now?

The 'dinner' is instant noodles. Probably the only thing the man can afford.

Mikos tells Aliruja of the flashes.

"Signal?" Aliruja then speculates. "That's not good. If you are right and think you have something to do with the north, those people might have been the people responsible for your uh... lack of memories. You need to stay more hidden... and stop with the flying stuff for now."

It's almost 9 o'clock in the evening and Mikos notices the wife still isn't here. He thinks he knows why now. The kid is also nowhere in the living room. He's probably already asleep.

There's one path with leads back to where you came from. The forest is thick and dense though so it's your only option. You begin to run down that path only for the owl to swoop down and land on the ground in front of you. You stop running and the owl stares you down.

"You'll toss it? You're going to merely toss the sacred amulet of this forest? What is wrong with you?"

Jay pays for Nico's and Will's room. The currency of this strange world is still paper money and coins. The woman then leads Nico and Will to their room. It's on the third floor. Their room number is 324 which is right next to Jay's room, 323.

The woman and Jay then leaves the two to their room. It's a shabby room with lots of old style furniture. There's one bed with a nightstand and a lamp. There's a drawer to the side. There's a bathroom except it's a shower and not a bath (idk what they call bathrooms that only have showerheads and not bathtubs). There's a closet near the bathroom. Nico and Will don't have much to do. Perhaps the best idea would be to figure out what this world is. This is clearly not their world or Jay's world. Probably talking to Jay first would be a good idea.

What now?

 

I run back to the kid who's father i just cured and say "I need your help"

 

"It's just a hunk of rock/chunk of wood/whatever it's made of." (I forgot T^T)
"Not like it'll break- if it does then you need to get a better one."
