    how do I use the quest tracker? does it show where to go, or does it just tell me a quest is active?

    It tells you the next step of the quest automatically so you do not need to open the quest book every time

    oh ok so it doesn't show me the way to the quest it just tells me the next step

    Ye, many ppl think, that the compass show you your way to your next quest, if you tracked on. Actually, the compass shows to Ragni, I think.
    If you want to see your way to your tracked quest, try Wynntils :)

    With wynntils, left clicking a quest will automatically set the compass to where you need to go (tho sometimes it does not advance with the quest) and will place a beacon at the coordinates.
