So I had found a download for the old Wynn map (pre-1.7 I think? Before a lot of the stuff was revamped) a while ago and decided to really explore it recently. Seeing Wynn without all the new stuff is kind of odd, but also pretty interesting, especially when going into spectator and seeing all the weird stuff underground.
EDIT: It's most likely from the mob update

I'll just start off with some neat screenshots of the landscape
    [IMG]
This is probably my favorite, with the relic shrine(?) next to the Great Bridge. Relic shrines are one of the few things I remember from back then, and I remember getting lost around this area and ending up at this shrine and getting mauled by the relic guardians. Good times. You can also see Lusuco up in the top left.
Detlas with the Roots of Corruption and Silent Expanse entrance in the background. I miss the hourglass tower :(
    [IMG]
    Ragni and the Emerald Trail
    [IMG]
    The Dernel Jungle
    [IMG]
Closer look at a relic shrine in the jungle
    [IMG]
Troms and the little ol' Temple of Legends. It looked SUPER plain back then, glad they changed it.
Nemract with Mount Wynn in the background

Now we get to some of the more interesting stuff

Starting off simple, here is the blocked off prison next to Ternaves when the gate was open.

Almuj rests on top of boxes of nothing. The sandstone room underground is the Almuj bank labyrinth. Maybe there was more stuff planned beneath the town?

Area beneath the mountains and above the Lion's Den. You can see some sponge left over from the terrain painting.

this sign can't stop me because i can't read

And now the most interesting things

The place where the Silent Expanse is now. You can see some of the painting that's already been done to the terrain, and there's a large space behind the canyon that may be the early part of a cave in the SE.

Speaking of the Silent Expanse, the mines leading to it were actually partially built already, hidden away by only 1 block at the entrance.

Beneath Nivla, there is a small secret room (probably created by SageBuilds) that you could access by throwing an item in a hidden hopper in a small cave. It is labelled "Sage's Humble Abode" by a sign not in frame.

Here is a big shot of the mess that is subterranean Ancient Nemract.

Here you can see a large flock of redstone repeaters, leading to some pistons in a wooden passage? Not really sure what it is for.
EDIT: This was apparently part of the zombie dungeon. It was a floor that would break underneath you and drop you into a cave of zombies. I couldn't tell what it was because I've never done the zombie dungeon, and the cave beneath was just a dead end. A lot of the stuff probably relating to the zombie dungeon looks like it was poorly pasted here, and a lot of stuff is completely cut off or in really weird positions.

Behind the entrance to the Underworld Crypt (the black splotch to the right) is a large unused room that is actually detailed, but obviously not complete and a bit of a mess. It makes a weird oval shape, and the path on the left is really tight.

This mess of leaves and lamps is behind the walls of the Great Bridge. No clue why this exists, maybe it was an early version of Troms that was eventually moved, and was replaced with the Bridge?

This may be the strangest thing of all. Might be an early test of the Underworld Crypt, (which you can tell by the sign), but it almost looks like it got griefed. I don't even know WHAT is going on with the skull, and honestly I'm a little frightened. The third image is supposedly the boss room, but it really doesn't look like anything at this point. I'm kind of amazed something like this was actually left in the game, even if it was inaccessible.
EDIT: I have been told this is from the old Zombie Dungeon. Still can't believe that freaky skull was a part of Wynncraft at some point.

If anyone on the Content Team was involved with any of this stuff, it would be pretty epic if you could confirm why any of this stuff exists (like the skull) or just amuse us with some anecdotes about these things.

And that's pretty much it. There may have been some things that I missed, and certainly other smaller things that may have been removed in later updates or something like that, but that's all I could find that I thought was interesting enough to put in the post.

also idk if downloading the map from someone else is against the rules or if this counts as leaking information but please don't ban me

99.9% sure that this was the old, old zombie dungeon, and was in the game from may 2013 until it was reworked in august 2014 in the 1.12 update. eventually, this too was reworked in the 1.14 gameplay update and became the underworld crypt.

Also I have discovered that the area behind the Underworld Crypt entrance was the original entrance for it in the 1.13 update when it was still called the Zombie Dungeon, and it was less of a mess than it is in that screenshot. Looks like the new entrance was built right on top of the old one, probably to make the dungeon more accessible and the entrance more obvious since to enter the zombie dungeon you had to walk to the middle of the big cylinder to get teleported, and there was no hint or any clue about that.

At least that's what I can see in this video

I'm no moderator so it's not my call to make, but in the past numerous people have been punished for downloading the map, possessing the map file, redistributing it, or posting pictures of offmap areas. Especially if they contain things like this thread, that players were never intended to see. However, if you were to take the rules as a general guideline,

You see the corridor there? That was a falling fllor like the one in the Sand Swept Tomb
Below it was an area full of Zombies
In fact, that's the old Underworld Crypt, known as Zombie dungeon back in the day

Yeah I figured posting it would be a bit of a risk, but considering it's an old version of the map (not saying that having the map isn't an issue, and I understand why it would be) and most (if not all) of this stuff has most likely either been revamped or removed since most of it is really outdated, I figured I might be able to get away with it. There's no way I would do something like this with the current map

Also the big man himself liked it so hopefully I'm safe for now

I think it is the map from the Mob Update, there is a lot of old content in there but I cannot spot the TRULY OLD stuff like the big mountain where the old Zombie Dungeon was located, and I think the old Skeleton Dungeon was already remade in that map.

Btw I just remember, I'm pretty sure Dernel Jungle and Rymek weren't a thing in the old map, yet they are there, which supports my statement about this being the Mob update map.

Don't worry, Salted liked the post so unless he didn't read it or somehow miss the giant pictures I'll assume he's fine with it. Not like he's claiming he made the map or doing it for personal gain.
