Context: Kid Nation was a reality tv show where 40 kids were dropped off at an abandoned wild west town in the middle of nowhere in an attempt to run the town with no adult supervision. However, the adults running the show devided the kids into colored factions (which they kept having compete against each other because the show really wanted to be Survivor) and created a town cast system and economy where the kids needed to runs stores to earn money. Additionally, the adults had pre-selected 4 kids to act as the leader of each faction and the overall Town Council. This was all most likely done in an attempt to encourage rivalries and create drama (which it did; and no doubt a few of the stuff that the kids did over the 13 episodes were stagged for these reasons). Outside of these factors, the events that take place in the show were more or less organic.

Of the 44 kids, there was one child named Jared who absolutely carried the show for the other 43 kids. This is a video of that kid.
