SPOILER What Do You Suspect/hope Will Be In 1.20?

Spoilers if you haven't been to Silent Expanse/EO

Pretty much, what are you fairly certain will be in 1.20, or what do you really hope will be in 1.20?

I think 1.20 is going to be the endgame update. Calls for a more solid endgame have been going on for a while, so I think we'll get a lot of that content. I'm guessing:
- Dern released, with really high difficulty.
- New dungeon(at least one), with stupid-hard boss that is the rest of the demon that ripped out its eye.
- New gamemode, maybe "Master" or "Legendary" or something, where monsters are just straight-up buffed to the heavens.
- More than one new "unique" endgame challenge(ex: LI, not a dungeon but repeatable and kinda of a minigame).
And, of course:
- New quests
- New gear
- And our favorite, BUG FIXES!!

What I'm hoping:
- Fixes to professions, to make them more fun.
- Fixing Hunted mode
- Cactus build viability, because it sounds pretty fun
- A raid-style boss for that massive demon; something like modular dungeons where one group takes the Left Hand, one takes the Right Hand, one takes the Eye, etc, and then they all come together for the Soul or the Mind of the demon.
- To be honest, for the difficulty of Dern to increase and the power of gear to stay the same, so you can have a fairly optimized build and still be fighting for your life.

How about you?

 

Expectations: Dern, new dungeons, new items, new quests.
Hopes: All of the above, bugfixes, professions being fun.

 

I believe 1.20 will be a smaller update than silent expanse, and what we have confirmed is some sort of LI rework/buff and Ambiviance being available at EO. I also think that we will get profession speed and xp ingridients and some other general QOL fixes. There will most likely also some new quests, hopefully being reworked/added around level 50-70, since the game is sort of lacking in that area. Cough, Gavel, cough.

 

Forgot to mention: also a boss that is just a "W" so we can kill the entire Wynncraft logo.

 

I hope they focus on fixing and polishing stuff next update. Better Decay, Orphion boss fight thing, better tutorial, better professions, better Dullahan Castle, et cetera. In other words: redo Gavel please.

One of the things I'm hoping for, is a rework on some of certain dungeons.
Things like Infested Pit or Decrepit Sewers are pretty boring and are kinda bad introductions to dungeons but I wouldn't say they're in dire need of a rework (at least not yet).
However, dungeons like Lost Sanctuary, Corrupted Underworld Crypt, and Galleons Graveyard are simply tedious, boring, and unfun for all the wrong reasons. I'd say out of all these dungeons, Galleons Graveyard is the one that'll most likely get redone as it's the only Pre-Gavel dungeon (albiet, it was a mini-dungeon back in the day) that hasn't gotten a corrupted version, and who knows.
However out of all the dungeons, I want Corrupted Underworld Crypt to be looked at. As not only the first bits are just more tedious and unfun than in the original, but it replaces one of the most creative bosses in the game with an even more tedious Garoth that's somehow even more buggy.

 

On wynndata, for Ambivalence, it says
"Will be available at Eldritch Outlook once the next map push happens". What kind of map push is this? Are we finally going to Dern? Or maybe Fruma? I don't know, but if Ambivalence is already in development, then hopefully the next map push is soon. Where did wynndata get this information anyway?

 

Expectations: New ingredients, new mob models, new secret discoveries, new quests, revamped quests, revamped areas, CGG, professions improvements, endgame content.

Hopes: Level 99 void quest please :D , new mechanics (preferably involving spell versatility), Gavel dungeons (Seriously, it's been four and a half years since Gavel and still no Orphion, Grootslang, Dullahan etc.), and maybe something else to do at Corkus? (I feel like there's not a great deal to do there)

 

I'm just hoping for gavel reworks, lot of wasted potential sitting there imo with all the unfinished and rushed stuff. Some of it is golden but decent bit isn't...
Also hopefully new ingredients, maybe items, and a lot of bug fixes (and AMBIVALENCE).

am i the only one that would prefer Fruma before dern. Fruma has always been the province that interests me the most.

 

can we just not have a province more content = more bugs and i'm really the kind of person who wants nothing but QoL k ty for reading my one-liner

 

Honestly I started counting in Captain America: the first avenger. I counted over 100 easy chances for the Nazis to just shoot him, but they got worse reaction time and aim then stormtroopers.

 

I think Fruma's an interesting province and I would definitely like to explore it sometime, but I think/prefer Dern over Fruma. It just seems like there has been lots of hints and winks towards the release of Dern, building it up as this place of shadow, and I think that after the release of an area so intimately connected to Dern(the Silent Expanse), the next logical step is Dern itself.
Plus, I think that going back into Fruma has a lot of conflicts lore-wise, especially the idea of the player's amnesia. We could either go back in without our memory, in which case I feel like a lot of what we see wouldn't have a ton of weight behind it, or we would have to discover our backstory, which would force the CT into making lore that would have to be interesting, but broad enough to cross all five classes. I'm not saying there is no way around these problems and I hope Fruma will be released in the future, but I just think that the next region released is more likely to be Dern.

 

Lore wise, Dern would fit more as the last area to be unlocked

I expect the updates to go by as: Gavel remake --> Fruma --> Dern

 

they would be PERFECT. Gavel remake is needed (dungeons, more quests in more areas etc). However I really feel like that Fruma could be the ones that are in the most danger from dern and that the ending of the storyline of Fruma is that the monarchy is basically like yeah Dern about to pull up on us and then after that Corkus, Wynn and Gavel so you should probably get on that btw lol. So then we wait for a year or so and we have Dern where we must somehow stop the realm of darkness from you know... being the realm of darkness lmao. Possibly we gather many past allies from every experience we have had in the past wether its gavel, wynn, corkus etc, kind of linking to a hunters calling where we have those allies cos we chose to do certain things for certain people instead of the way we are shown in hunters calling. So know they are super cool and strong and decide to help us beat dern.
