What type of guild are you looking out for? A large established guild that's properly organised with tons of features or the smaller newer guilds with a smaller community still fleshing things out?
You want a war-heavy guild or a more casual guild?

 

Join ILQ we have Prizes and Games, though alternatively you could join as a community member without being in the ingame guild to avoid drama. Though unlike some guilds we do engage a bit in guild politics you don't have to be a part of it unless you war.

if you're actually want to do wars or something then yeah i guess there's a good few in this guild section that fit but like that's not a lot of people, even i can recognize that

join a guild for a sense of community and to be around a lot of other (generally) chill people to just hang out and talk to. i wouldn't still be in guilds (or on wynn rather honestly) if not for the community presented in fox, and it's completely because of them that ive made dozens of close friendships and become a part of tons of neat communities over the time ive been here. the community is what matters most; wars, politics, and all that other shit is optional to your choice and can be done at your discretion or avoided entirely just as easily

good luck with whatever guild you join, i don't really care to shill my own guild when i know you'll be in good hands with 95% of the community. enjoy it mate

 

The only reason to join a guild is
A) you got friends in that guild
B) They have a bunch of territory that you will actually use to grind for your lower classes

Or, Start your own guild just to chill.

 

I'm going to comment because after reading some responses there is a huge misconception about guilds.

First off, guilds were originally intended to act as a sort of "permanent party." Guilds are for the purpose of promoting community.
Many players believe guilds are just for wars, and can only come at your expense. WHILE there are some guilds that require emerald/xp contributions and/or their players to war, that isn't the case in majority of guilds.

Do you really think others or myself would still be using the guild feature if it was just purely for wars?
We stick around because of the community and friends we have made, and that is why guilds continue on.

Wars act as an end-game feature of sorts for content that is additional to the guild system, however it is NOT the sole purpose of guilds. There are plenty of guilds who do not participate in the war feature at all.

Participating in guilds can enhance the Wynncraft experience, I suppose it is all about finding the one that suits your needs or the one that feels most at home.

 

sure, i won't argue that it can definitely positive impact your experience
but it can also literally swamp with drama and shit and definitely negatively impact your experience

 

You honestly have to go out of your way to be in the drama.
Typically only leaders (if participating in the war feature) might see drama firsthand, although majority of players in a guild are not at all involved in the political scene.

While there has been a lot of drama in the past, I would say the war community has made a lot of improvement on this.
It is a game about territories, disagreements can and will occur, it does not mean it will always result in drama.

My opinion is that warring should be completely optional and members should NOT be required to participate in wars if they do want too, and many guilds practice this also.

Majority of players who choose to war aren't involved in guild politics.

oh, definitely not
but when the "tryhard" warring part of guilds is one of the most vocal parts of them, it emits vibes like that to people who haven't been in guilds

 

I can't completely dismiss that there are some pure war guilds, ect.
However it unfortunately has defined guilds as a whole.
So many people find guilds distasteful when it isn't even like that at all for the majority.

 

that is true, however that's the case with most of the communities, not just guilds. class builders get a bad rep too because a couple of them are toxic and just shit on people's builds in the experience of a good few people but the majority in reality are pretty chill and just help out, whereas hunters also get a shit rep because like a few people use broken poison builds that everyone hates while the majority hunts rather fairly

most of guilds is really chill and free of drama honestly, it's just the loud parts that people see. if you see people being loud and toxic in guilds, chances are we aren't a fan of that behavior either within the community itself

I would consider carefully what you want from a guild, whether it's war, community, game expertise, etc. Try browsing through multiple guilds and read their threads thoroughly. Find which one has a theme that you like and a setting you feel comfortable in. Don't feel rushed to find the perfect guild for you (:
