What's The Highest Defence/damage Reduction Possible?

What's the highest it can go with endgame gear?

 

150 defense (for any skill as well) is the hard cap for defense. If believe it's 80% damage reduction at that point? You can also get higher if you count any of warrior's spell buffs which give you some amount of resistance, I don't know how much though.

 

80% sounds great but will armor and weapon Defence stats make you take even less damage even if you reach the hard cap?

 

nope, weapon skill points work the same as armor in terms of the effects they give, but they're only active when you hold them and don't count to skill requirements for your other gear.

Aside from the defense stat itself though, as @pnye mentioned, warrior's war scream gives himself and nearby players +20% defense (although I'm not sure what this exactly means, whether it's straight up 20% damage reduction or increasing your effective defense skill points by 20%). Additionally, warrior also has a "base armor rating of 120%" (wynncraft wiki) which I'm pretty sure means they just take 80% damage. Basically, if you build defense on warrior, you'll not take a lot of damage.
