    after doing some testing (would have done more but market died) I honestly think that cancel stack isn't actually that broken outside of shaggy boots, which I think gives an obscene amount of life steal and excess damage for being cancel stackable with only -4 tiers (make it -7 base pls). Outside of that to me I found that the playstyle didn't seem that busted compared to tier stacking super slow and very slow weapons (especially now with dizzy spell which is a super nice eta sustainable damage option) Tier stack also does have the advantage of courage over cancel stack as (in my testing at least) it doesn't seem courage buffs raw melee.

    As for toxo pve toxo is meh it just is utterly busted in pvp due to poison and poison triggering from thorns/reflection (which I do think is something that maybe should be looked into)

    While I'm at it a few other thoughts while playing with these changes are as follows:
    Silt of the seafloor is really freaking good why the hell does no one use it .-.

    the two items that concern me the most this patch are shaggy boots and sempiternal. shaggy I said above I just feel is to powerful in cancel stack and needs to have it's -tiers nerfed a bit (base -7 imo or even -8) so it can't be cancel stacked with a second heavy melee item. sempiternal on the other hand even post hpr buff didn't need this change and now in my opinion is useless unless you are going full non mythic hpr tank. Hetusol and edin blessed guards are the best options in hpr builds and are generally must haves. Helm and boots are then up to you, however from everything I tested I find it much more effective to go cancer/sano's care/phoenix prince's crown and then damage boots instead of damage helm and sempiternal in any sort of hpr build (with the exception of a build using a high intel water weapon such as a water mythic in which you use the helm slot for blue mask) I just don't think these boots are quite as good as intended for the hpr slot unless you plan on implementing some fabled tier boreal alternative. In fact the new nether's scar in some cases might be a better alternative.

    also my favorite bad item azure halo seems better so that's nice but (as I did see you said in the feedback/reaction thread it still was underpowered) I agree needs another sort of buff. I feel like more hpr and some skill points would do the trick to make it a competitive helm as right now it still serves basically no purpose in 99% of builds.

    All the new items seem really freaking cool. I think though, that signal flare is to weak (even at 85 it could use a bit of a tune up in the raw melee department). And like everyone else I think virtuoso is wayyyyy to powerful and have literally no idea how that made it through testing :)...just nerf the mana regen and a bit more steal on it tho...don't nerf the damage or else its just a crappy capri.

    And lastly I wanted to talk about booster plate which seems really neat but not just as a meme. When these patch notes dropped I may or may not have bought 15 booster plates praying one was 4 jump..........BUT ANYWAYS I decided to try it in a combat hero build that deals damage competitive to other hero builds and is basically a normal tier 2 hero build. but with +4 jump. And what I found was that this jump height in both pvp and pve is actually really useful and a ton of fun to use. The additional jump height really shines on warrior and shaman allowing for you to move more defensively and bounce around to avoid spells. Overall a super cool item and I hope we can see jump height added to more weapons and armors in the future.

    Honestly this is one of the best item patches yet and outside of my salt of aquamarine sp nerfs I can say the only changeI dont particularly like is gemini cuz I used the old one alot. But yeah this is a sweet patch go item team!

    Assuming toxoplasmosis have 13k or maxed poison and no other poison from other source, with courage, and using it is almost 150 strength anyway, you would get this damage [13,000 x 1.808 x 2.5 ]/3 second = roughly19.6k damage EVERY SECOND.
    While yes, it can’t go past that other weapon ALONE can’t do that high damage with ITSELF ALONE. so even if you build full tank you would still be doing that sweet sweet almost 20k dps (or atleast every tick) if you constantly melee stuff you would have courage on almost always. but yeah ppl still say it’s mediocre.

    19.6k for a melee offtank is warrior levels of dps though
    and we don't talk about warrior
    actually with courage offtank melee warrior (maybe new ignition rawstack or some other fire weapon tierstack, i haven't tested), you could probably get higher than this at similar levels of defensiveness

    yeah, im assuming that, as you said, you built the rest of the build reasonably tanky
    in my previous post i talked about damage focused builds reaching mediocre levels of damage, and since you were talking about how toxo could reach 20k dps with a tank build (as far as shaman goes), i responded by talking about how warrior offtanks can reach the same level with melee offtank builds

    yes the dps is around the warrior, but to compare melee dps of a warrior which is short range versus an totem range(even further with aura) is pretty unfair, how about you compare it to other Shaman build, for example sunstar which have around 20k avg aura with TFA build, which is a lot glassier?

    yeah, shaman can do similar dps at a longer range, but
    a) warrior is... kind of suck, and
    b) warrior will more tankier with offtank melee dps build, because 1.2x hp vs 0.5x hp with effective hp is a pretty big difference, not mentioning war scream

    the same can be said for most melee superfast dps builds vs spell builds? like wishing star or haqpherphix cancelstack will get higher numbers on their dps than a single meteor from event horizon etw?
    or aftershock tierstack getting 40-50k dps vs hardcore or misfit auras doing far less?
    i'm not sure what comparing melee build dps to spell build single spell damage is achieving

    im counting poison as a melee build
    p much direct comparisons between melee and spell build damage is always iffy

    but, since toxo is shaman and totem can easily proc poison over a large area, you should compare it with other spell build due to it's massive totem range.

    the frequency of damage is equivalent to melee, and is a much more fitting comparison.

    Spell shaman means aura trapping everything easily. Most other classes also get cc from their spells. Poison shaman doesn't have enough mana to cc things; in that aspect it's more like melee.
