Rare Item Stacking?

    I've managed to come across two of the same Rare relic, which have combined into one item with a [2] next to the rarity. What does this do in terms of stats and is there any way to seperate them?

    This does not mean two items have merged or anything. It means you've id'ed an already id'ed item a second time.
