Waiter is moving crates, who is currently being approached by Needle.
Waitresses preparing the tables.

 

I go down.
"Where's Jonas?" I ask a waitress

 

"Hmm? He's outside, talking with some guards."

 

'Ilina': "About what?"

 

"Not sure. Something about transport?"

 

'Ilina': "Right."

 

"He's got his reasons. Probably business related."

He places down the crate he's carrying and points over his shoulder, towards the outside door.
"He's outside if you want to ask about specifics."

 

I go out to find Jonas

 

Not too hard to do.
You walk outside and a few feet away from you is Jonas, talking with 2 guards.

 

I hang around waiting for him to finish. I'll listen if I can, but not very intently.

 

You can make a perception check, if you'd like.

You can follow the conversation pretty well, from where you started listening.

'... you needed, sir?' One guards asks.

"Yes. One should be enough. How much for the extra protection?" Jonas responds.

'That would be about 6 gold per day. So judging where you're heading, that's not cheap.' The guard replies.

"Should be doable, otherwise I'll just pay it later with some interest once I got enough."
"Anyways. Thank you for the information. I'll swing by the townhall when I can, got some preparations to do first." Jonas answers.

'Of course, sir. Have a good day.' The guard replies.

They both shake hands and the guards leave after that.
Jonas scratches his head after turning around. He's heading inside as he spots you and stops.

"Oh, hey there. Can I do something for you?" he asks.

 

'Ilina' glances after the guard
"You hiring guards?"

 

"I am. I'm heading out in a few days, and seeing as the number of bandit attacks around the local area has increased, I thought it would be smart to hire some protection."

"Not that I'm not capable myself, of course." He smiles.

 

I join them.

"Bandit attacks?"

 

"Yeah. They have been a bit more frequent then normal. Give it some time, I'm sure they'll be taken care eventually."

 

I approach to join the conversation as well, although I don't speak.
