Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

There's discussion among the demons and guardians, a demon eventually stepping forward to speak.

"We accept your terms." The demon says.

 

Golden and Silver make eye contact before Silver turns into a beam of light, soon reappearing physically outside of Xlentia's chambers.
"If you have already said your temporary goodbyes, he will bring you there."

Silver's back is now laced with decorative fabric with some chairs and canopies mounted. The mounts - and his body - seem to stretch the hundred mile distance between Xlentia's chambers and the end of the hall... and then some. His crown is different as well; still rather ornate, but harder to get on or off.

 

The mass of guardians and demons begin to mount Silver, taking their places in the chairs and under the canopies. Quite a few guardians appear to be partners, holding hands and taking seats next to each other.

 

Silver slowly moves up as seats and spaces are filled, though nobody on him can see exactly just how many people he could carry.

Golden watches silently from her throne, watching for anyone who tries to be cheeky or hesitant to go.

 

The cheekiest thing the golden queen sees is an incubus stealing a kiss from a guardian, everyone seeming willing to go and ready to work.

 

Once everyone is on his back and seated, Silver cranes his head back.
"It's an eighty light year trip back, so you best not forget anything. You all ready?" He asks.

 

There's some shuffling about as everyone checks their things, but most if not all are in agreement of being ready.

 

Silver glances over at everyone on his back again, seeming eager but uncertain.
"I strongly encourage you to remain within the bounds of the light tunnel while we travel. Since I assume you don't have 80 years to kill, nor are you able to safely disassociate into light, we're taking a shortcut that will reduce our travel time to roughly 75 minutes. Ignoring this suggestion will result in you being pulled into null, and I might not be able to get you back out. While you're double checking your belongings, please look for a means to entertain yourself, as I will not be able to talk during the flight. If anyone is missing something, let me know now and go get it. If you discover you are missing something during the flight, please take note of it and a contact I can refer to in order to retrieve it for you. Alternatively, you are welcome to come back with me, but the trip back will still take the hour and fifteen." He announces, voice projecting to everyone without being boomingly loud.
"If all of that is clear, you have five minutes to verify you have everything you wish to bring. I'd like to finish the chapter I'm almost done with before we head out." He says, summoning a sizable tome off to the side with an appropriately large bookmark.

 

Earth guardians start shaping bits of rock into means of entertainment, while air guardians take out wind instruments and begin to practise playing tunes with them. A lot of guardians and demons opt to try and get comfortable to sleep during the journey. One of the demons drops what looks to be a voodoo doll, quickly getting off Silver to pick it back up before jumping back on.

 

Silver turns back quickly to look at the demon that dropped the doll.
"No pranks with that, and don't do that during the flight."

 

"It's not even functional yet." The demon responds, seeming slightly annoyed.

 

“Don’t let it kill you before it is.”

 

"You think I don't know how to use a poppet like this?" The demon asks, offended.

 

“I will repeat this once; if anything touches the edge of the light tunnel during flight, it is lost to null. Your gods cannot survive in it - you have even less hope. Fumble anything near the edge, and it is gone. If you pull the stunt you just did, you’ll be gone too.” He says, serious. “I don’t care about what you can or can’t do with the doll - I care that you make it through the trip.”

 

"Yeah, I know, I'm not gonna drop it again, god..." The demon says, frustrated.

 

Silver sighs, turning back to his book.

 

There don't appear to be any more interruptions, the army of guardians and demons ready for their transport.

 

As Silver gets to the end of the chapter, he closes the book.
“Well, I take it you’re all ready, then. Keep all limbs, appendages, bodies, and belongings within the bounds of the tunnel. Your flight will take about an hour and a half total as there is no good nearby location to enter null traversal.” He says, starting to walk out of the palace. “Any questions for me will have to be answered by your flight escorts, Cream and Slate.”
A human woman and a three headed hydra step down from Silver’s crown, the human waving and smiling at the group as the hydra takes a small bow with its center head, looks over the group judgmentally with its left head, and eyes whoever’s closest hungrily with a muzzled but clearly salivating right head.

“Don’t worry, Slate has the third head under control.” The woman, presumably Cream says, with a nervous chuckle.
“It has been sated.” Slate confirms with a monotonous voice.
The third head definitely does not look sated.

 

The demon nearest Slate's third head - a large cycloptic demon - seems ready enough to split the head in half at the jaw if it tries anything.

A few younger guardians wave back to Cream, while the incubi seem suddenly interested in flexing their muscles.

 

The muzzle keeps the head from even moving - that, and Slate keeps some distance from everyone.

"I know it's instinct, but don't bother." Cream says after looking over the incubi, kissing Slate's second head while flashing what seems to be a wedding ring as he leans down.
"We are here to see your travels are safe, not to swoon. Attempting to distract us falls under intentionally distracting an active worker, something explicitly against the agreement formed." Slate says, still monotone.

"Oh, give them some slack. You can't force change on someone, especially on short notice." Silver says. "I do ask you try to refrain from wooing them, though."
