Go next door and ask the same question

 

You go next door to the potion shop and ask the same question. The shopkeeper replies, "Yeah, I've got some ingredients. How many emeralds you got?"

 

“Price first mun.”

 

The shopkeeper reaches under the counter and grabs a few items, placing them on the table. The first is a vial of what appears to be blood, the second is some sort of crystal, and the third looks like the heart of a creature. "I have 4 vials of zombie blood for 10 emeralds each, 2 rare crystals for 12 emeralds each, and 5 spider hearts for 13 emeralds each."

“Give ma a moment mun.”

Vol’jin returns to his group ready to clear rats

 

You leave the building, the potion merchant watching you curiously as you enter the weapons shop. You enter just as the merchant begins to speak.
"So, are you going to help clear the rats out? I hate those pests!"
You have been offered a quest: Pestkillers
-Kill the rats inside the basement.
Rewards: One enhanced(non-stat) weapon of choice OR 6 emeralds, 7 xp

 

Really wanting ingredients, Vol’jin shakes his head.

“10 emeralds mun.”

 

The shopkeeper glares at you

 

“10 emeralds or rats mun.”

 

The shopkeeper keeps glaring

 

Xylina gets frustrated as she watches Voljin mess around haggling
"For goodness' sake let's just go kill the rats now and you can discuss the reward after we're done with our job"

She pauses for a few seconds, thinking deeply

"You can sell the weapon anyways why are you trying to get a different reward that might get you less emeralds than if you sell the weapon yourself" She says to Voljin

 

Johan nods when Xylina mentions rat killing. He agrees to go along.

 

The shopkeeper stop glaring at Vol'jin nd turns to the other four of you. "So you aaccept? Come, the basement is this way." He leads you behind his counter and down a short hall filled with weapon racks. At the end of the hall is a trapdoor that presumably leads down to the basement. He kneels down to open the trapdoor, revealing a ladder going down. Once the trapdoor is open, a rather large rat leaps out and attacks the shopkeeper, biting his arm. He shakes the rat off and if flies at the wall. It lands, dazed but not killed, and the shopkeeper looks at the wound on his arm. "I will leave you to complete the quest." he says, pushing past down the hallway.

 

Johan goes down the ladder.

 

Xylina follows

 

As you go down the ladder, the rat wakes from its daze and attacks you, clawing you in the head for 1 damage.

You cannot follow, as Johan is not down yet.
