Arrow Storm Archer Vs Bomb Archer

Just wondering what the pros and cons of each are and any additional info. I'm a lv98 archer gettin to 105 soon hopefully, want to figure out which build i want before i start buying gear. All info would be helpful. Thanks!

 

Arrow storm good build epic dps also nighthawk op u need aim though. Bomb fire away u have range boom boom less dps but big aoe

if you have nighthawk arrow storm is higher dps but its aoe is more lacking than if you were to go a spell slinging build. also if you were to go stength builds you would want bomb arrow most likely but agility build would more often go arrow storm while intelligence builds usually go a spell spam build so they use both majorly

 

Generally for the most effective spell playstyle (for any class really) you want to cycle your spells to keep the increasing spell costs down. This also lets you use the benefits of arrow bomb's secondary effects (slowing down enemies) alongside the higher damage arrow storms. Adding in Nighthawk makes this even easier, since it cuts down on the arrow storm animation allowing you to alternate between storms, bombs, and shields even quicker for more damage output.

Back the the original topic, nighthawk is perfectly balanced, and using it with freedom (the most balanced bow) is even more perfectly balanced (40k+ per cast, while nearly free), so I'm a bit biased, however, using both is good as other people have stated, since it keeps cost down by alternating. It's honestly more based on build and circumstance which is better; against crowds, arrow bomb's AoE is useful, and for individual enemies like bosses the dps from arrow storm makes it a better choice (at close range only unless you use nighthawk though).

 

Arrow storm usually seems to do more damage, but only if you can get up close to your target. If you are far away from a target or they are too fast, you should use bomb arrow.
Basically arrow storm is archer's shotgun and bomb arrow is archer's sniper rifle

 

I use bomb arrow as a very powerful arrow, not just for AOE.
