Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The Golden Queen eyes Lux over, smirking.
"I assume he took up this behavior from you two?" She challenges, summoning a vision of what seems to be a lush countryside in a somewhat bustling town.

There's no dedicated town guard, but most of the citizens carry some weaponry.
As the sun rises, a few draconians step out of an inn and start talking to a naga resting in a park fountain. The community is as diverse as the elements, until a twilight scar cuts into the sky.
Everyone stops what they were doing, seeming nervous but none of them taking up arms. Crelucium steps into view, quickly moving to the two draconians and holding a blade to the naga's throat.
He demands fealty, swears to kill all who refuse to bow to his parents. It takes a human making the apparent mistake of stating that they worship Gaia, and Crelucium starts his rampage.
Every building, every person, torn apart and tossed around like trash. It takes less than a minute for the once peaceful town to fall eternally to rest, with nobody spared at all. A mother in a hospital, her stillborn spattered against a wall. The nursery torn asunder and the bodies of children turned to mush beneath the dragon that tried to protect them. All with the same grim fate - Crelucium left no survivors.

"This was the first time he showed his face." The Golden Queen says, a small crystal left in her hand as she holds her cloak open - which appears to be made out of the crystals. "How much more must I show you to make clear this blatant act of aggression? What more do you need to jog your memory of this vile menace?!" The Golden Queen asks, her emotions starting to come to the forefront. "I might not know how to raise a child, but if that's what you call one raised properly then it would appear you know even less than I!"

 

Tenebrae shields her eyes, holding on to Lux for emotional support.

"We have already told you that we have no recollection of this child. I can't say how we raised him, but I know if we were to conceive another we'd treat them with as much love and care as Praecantatia does with her daughter, if not more," Lux says, managing to keep his cool despite a raised voice, "As it stands, there are far more pressing issues facing both of our realities than an issue of the past. I had assumed this is what you called us here for, but if it's just to insult us, I believe we'll be taking our leave."

The light in the room seems to shine a little brighter; Lux himself leaving spots in the eyes of those who look at him directly for too long.

 

The vision seems to be telepathic; not something covering your eyes would protect you from.
"You are mistaken if you believe this is an issue of the past. My people seek reparations for your son's actions, and I promised our child that I would not rest until you two were full aware of what he had done. I know your son was erased, I understand that. I seek either reparations in the form of aid, or an equivalent calamity upon your children." She says, serious.
"You two would be the ones who could arrange such reparations. You know my requests, and you know I'm not willing to let this go unanswered. Haggle if you wish; but just as you lashed out at Xlentia for erasing your son, inaction will force my hand to do the same for mine."

 

"We have already given your reality aid through our children. They seek to destroy the hive master, and in doing so, would save countless realities from his control." Lux explains.

"If you bring such calamity to us, we shall not treat it as a retaliation, but an attack of itself," Tenebrae says, suddenly serious as a twilight forms in the room, "We will strike back for such an act, and it will lead to more of what you fear. We're willing to continue to offer our help, though if you strike at us, we shall parry it. I strongly suggest you consider your next actions wisely."

Lux grips Tenebrae's hand tightly, as if to calm her down, though she seems too determined to pay attention to it. Tenebrae's telepathic presence in Ihra's mind feels heavy, as if she's actually there.

 

“This is not my reality!” The Golden Queen exclaims, standing up.
Silver looks at Lux with a bit of unease, seeming hesitant but saying nothing.
“Because of your late son, you no longer are dealing with one reality. You’re dealing with four, and all three of those linked to this reality only know of your son’s unprovoked offensive. If you think we owe you anything, you are sorely mistaken.”
“We may need to pardon both queens...” Silver sighs.

 

"Your realities are of the least concern, as we face a common threat far greater than the one that was erased. I can understand your frustrations, but in comparison to the grand scheme of things, it is minor. Perhaps after this war, we could send our children to help you rebuild, but at the current moment, we cannot." Lux explains, remaining level headed.

"As far as we may know, our son did none of what you claim, and you are playing on our lack of memory to try and exploit us for resources." Tenebrae adds.

 

“I’m afraid you’re wrong.” Silver interjects.
“Silver-“
“Let me finish. The Hive Master here may be the immediate concern, but it is not your largest concern. One of the rifts your son opened was to a reality where this Hive Master had already won. He holds the power of all six gods there. As for your son, I can show you everything he did if you do not believe the legitimacy, and then the remains of his actions. We have not touched them in respect for the fallen, and as a silent reminder for what was done to us.”
“We have the resources, it is the labor I demand. No reason I cannot wait a while longer for reparations, though...” The Golden Queen sighs.
“At the end of the day, the responsibility of your son’s actions fall upon you two. We will be lenient in the transfer, as the burden was not originally yours, but his necessary erasure has left his actions to appear as yours. Were it not necessary to prevent even more rifts from opening, he would still be here. I’m afraid your child simply chose to be as big of a problem as he could, and such has drawn in a multireality threat into the fray. If we could handle it alone, we would. However, our people’s ire is towards you two, not the true threat. A few hundred workers would do much to shift their attention to our common foe and somewhat ease all of our heavy hearts.” Silver says, speaking in common tongue to the surprise of The Golden Queen.
“What are you doing?!” She asks, still speaking in Ancient Dacori.
“Advising against the fight you seek to pick with this young reality. They may not be innocent, but their intents cannot be our primary concern.” He says, again in common tongue.

 

The pair seem to calm down, the lighting in the room returning to normal.

"What work do you need to have done?" Lux asks directly to Silver.

Tenebrae seems to go quiet, almost mourning.

 

“Construction of towns, particularly in Mulyrlox. With the orbit shifting once again, those who seek to move will benefit greatly from aid in reconstructing their floating villages. Other small project aid, and a general small presence to show that your son is not a reflection of your demeanors. Maralune could afford to have a bit of shadow gardeners, as the ruin is only starting to clear with the thinning of its atmosphere. Countless things, really. Nothing out of our grasp or expertise, simply extra hands to expedite the process.” He explains. “I also have seen a few beings that call themselves guardians during my peeks into your reality, and I think they would do well in aiding our more rural communities. I know not if they are your children or another god hailing from your reality, though.”

 

"The guardians are the children of our Gaia, though they reside in both of our realms as guests and visitors through agreements they formed. We cannot command them, you'd need to speak to Gaia for that, though Tenebrae can command their Shadows," Lux explains, "My children could assume their appearance, though they'd lack the abilities; and I doubt they would out of respect."

"I shall contact the royalties of my realm and ask them to offer any free hands they can to aid." Tenebrae says.

 

The Golden Queen sighs, before looking Tenebrae in the eye.
“If an ‘Aj’ is among said royalties, I ask you exempt him. He sounded sorely exhausted.” She says, in hesitant common tongue.
Silver seems surprised silent, simply nodding to Lux.

 

"He is the head of all my royalties, alongside his partner Stephanie - shadow of the daughter of Praecantatia - and an active participant in protecting our reality. If either are lax on the matter, then the others may follow their lead," Tenebrae explains calmly, "I shall, however, not ask as much from him."

"I can also contact the leading forces of my realm, and bring up this issue alongside Tenebrae at our next meeting with the other gods. I believe a deal could be arranged with Gaia and Mortius to lend their children for the cause too," Lux says, "I'm certain you'd also need to speak with them on the matter to finalise things, however."

 

“We can both attend, should you desire as such.” Silver says, The Golden Queen hesitantly nodding in response.

 

"Very well, it has been decided. We shall both gather as many of our willing children as possible and attempt to have some of Gaia's and Mortius' children assist them. In exchange, you will halt all proceedings of planned violence upon our reality." Lux offers.

"If any of ours, Gaia's or Mortius' children come under extreme harm however, we shall bring all affected and at risk back to us." Tenebrae adds.

 

“I request a contingency - we will treat them as well as our own, but we cannot promise they will be unscathed as we have had several clashes with the Hive Master’s forces.” The Golden Queen says.
“Aside from that, I do believe we have reached an agreement.” Silver nods.

 

"We expect a certain amount of leniency in how harmed they can be, as the hive master's forces are always a threat." Tenebrae confirms.

"Indeed. We shall report back to the other gods about this and see what can be arranged." Lux says, nodding in response.

 

"I will verify this with the rest of the council as well. Special accommodations may be able to be arranged should Idhaenna deem offsetting that many resources practical." Silver says.
"I'm staying here, someone needs to hold down this damn palace." Golden protests.
"I said I will verify this." Silver grumbles.

 

"Thank you for your time." Lux says, bowing to Silver and the Golden Queen alongside Tenebrae; before the pair turn to leave.

 

Golden nods as Silver steps up.
"Shall we reconvene in a week, or do you need more time for your council?" He asks.

 

"We can speed things up to happen within a week." Lux nods.
