Sudden Waves Of Fps Drops And Sound Lag

Occasionally my fps will quickly drop down to 5 fps and the sound will start to lag, until they both gradually return to normal. I'm wondering if this is because of server lag or because of Minecraft itself/my computer. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

 

Pretty sure we would hear more cases of people complaining about that if it would happen more often.
This is something you should monitor yourself, checking the task manager for potential computer overload(?) and testing around with the ingame settings to see if this can fix anything. Wynn can be pretty heavy at times, but cases of these major spikes usually happen because of the cpu eating too much.

 

i had a similar issue a while ago and it was because of my minecraft version. try switching to 1.12.2 if you're not using that already

 

Already on 1.12.2. I suspect it may have something to do with my CPU.
