To elaborate on the major ID, the fireball deals the same amount of damage as regular meteor but doesn't hone onto enemies. It's considerably slower and harder to hit but multiple can be flying at the same time. Explodes on contact.

imo the major ID changes the spell way too much from its base form.

it also kinda sounds like bomb arrow but slower and without trajectory.

 

That was kind of the point for me. To have a niche playstyle. What makes it different than arrow bomb is that Mage has spells for stunning and freezing, so you can keep the mob in place while you wait for the big damager to arrive
