Assassin Is Now The Worst Class. Change My Mind.

Assassins capability in a nutshell:

-Assassin has the best mobility hands down.

-It has the highest close range DPS in game (I'm talking about balanced spell builds that are not total glass cannons, Assassin heavy melee is a thing too so it might be the best melee class).

-Second highest base defence in game.

-Stunlocking, great AOE, Single target spell, 80% damage boost, Invis, Speed 5, great spell spam combos, its CC is only second to shaman and it can fly.

Assassin is probably the best class right now for both PVP and PVE.

I'm just gonna say it one more time, since I'm still in disbelief that someone can still think assassin is underpowered.

Assassin is the best class.

Actual best class debate is complicated but assassin is a big contender because it just does big number

 

uh a lot of people here are talking about how assassin can still hit 7k pre-vanished spins blah blah blah...

but y'all should probably realize that even with low spins etc, assassin completely shreds
a. vanish - applies a MULTIPLICATIVE WTF 80% damage buff, which is actually insane.
b. tankiness - most spell builds that have low spell damage are the result of a trade-off, which usually is in the form of tankiness. this tankiness allows you to constantly whale on enemies without worrying about dying/taking breaks in order to recuperate
c. assassin has a lot of damaging spells... yeah that's about it

combine all of these and a "base" (no curse/vanished) 4k spins manna tank can shred basically anything tasim uh oh super quickly

 

that's your problem and not assassin's.

oh right, greed is also super good with assassin cuz of multihit and smoke bomb having a chance to proc stealing on every hit allowing you to make it rain, and because The Exploited exists
like I'd say shaman is the only class that can utilize it better since totem lets you drop emeralds consistently in a wide AoE

see, this I can actually understand since until you get vanish upgrades 1 and 2, and spin's stun upgrade, it is kind of a slog to use with the damage nerf (though mage is still worse to get through IMO)

 

Assassin wasn't even the worst class when 1.19 first came out, it was terrible, but warrior was still worse, assassin isn't too strong before vanish, but after vanish it's nuts. The vanish buff was just what assassin needed to bypass mage again in terms of viability and I won't talk about wars, so let's talk about like LI or whatever the non-warrers do lol. I've had the most success in LI not even with heavy melee assassin, but spell based hybrid and 1 on 1 boss clearing is just so easy for assassin and so quick. I'm going to consider assassin to be the second best class because while shaman is better, shaman is just a ridiculously OP one handed zero skill class that was a mistake so we'll just ignore it for now. I honestly think assassin is now better for boss fights than archer is in most scenarios. Also for your builds just because I like building, don't use spell warrior, if you're a defensive type player use ignition or something https://wynndata.tk/s/agr0qp spell warrior is just terrible lmao, all its spells do is throw mobs around. Morrowind doesn't need to be tanky I get that it's your play style but most builds don't need both agi and defense unless it's a melee build https://www.wynndata.tk/s/fqja5u. With alka cometflinger usually agility is preferred with archer, so I'd use something like this https://wynndata.tk/s/2ojdm6 if not I just hope you're using your extra sp to get to like 108 int. Honestly I don't like shaman in the slightest as mentioned earlier and I don't care enough about the class to critique it, but I'd just like make sure your int is around 108 or something just so an intel pot will bring you up to 129 int. Also assassin I'd say is the most diverse class that can fit any play style, mage is kinda meh all around, archer melee sucks, spell warrior sucks and shaman, well we know my opinion on that by now lmfao, but assassin can use nice melee weapons like flameshot and exploited, spell has infused hive dagger ripsaw and kinda nona (even ivory since vanish can make it moderately usable lmao), hybrid has black and sitis and because of the assassin change it has improved the class so much.

Heavy Melee assasin is absolute god tier tho.

Well... I agree that the insulting part doesn’t help, but seriously saying assassin is the worst class and how it’s unplayable is really just wrong, it’s like saying that Quantum mechanics is easier than algebra. Of course people will get mad.
Also you have a bad record for taking things too seriously and offending people. Noob is a very normal thing to say. Not like everybody has to be a gentlemen here.

 

Ok here's a story about Assassin and some other people doing LI:

So I was doing LI with 3 other guys (I was the only assassin) and there was 2 mages and a shaman, and when i left the party they were like "Oh no now we can't beat LI anymore because we don't have an assassin and theres only 3 of us".

And yeah that happened. I don't know what to think of some wynn players anymore

Also Shaman is the worst class too OP in certain situations, I don't like the playstyle being so centered around 1 spell and people who are bad can't play it cus it needs skill (at least according to Wynn)

 

I'll take a bad record for behavo behaving politely and like a "gentlemen" as you nicely put it any day lol. Although in the past I have gotten perhaps just a littlleee too annoyed at people, especially if they attack a newbie and don't apologise. I did just try out assassin recently and I actually found it a lot better than I remembered, I didn't even know that vanish moved you until now

 

On the Hypixel forums it's a fucking mess, especially with that "non" bullshit in HSB
Also, noob is a mock of the actual way to spell it, it's meant to be newbie

I would personally say, its a fun class, if not the funniest class, due to its spells being well designed around synergy.

Even though I would argue its really well designed, I would also say its the easiest class however. As soon as you unlock prison, it's becomes... Well, kinda dumb. Melee bosses are litteraly unable to touch you, and its kind of funny.

 

Yeah, prison definitely needs a change

 

Assassin being good isn't an opinion though, it's something that can be objectively determined. Don't treat everything as opinion-based.

And yes, most people here have used the word "noob" and most people here are over 12. Does anyone over 12 even try to assume other people's age as an insult? :/

Anyway, my point is that I'm shocked someone who has played the game for over a few months would think assassin is weak, much less the worst class. Maybe it's archer syndrome, since too much archer warps your perception of other classes (speaking from experience and laziness)
