Thinking the tags could activate a mechanism, you try and remove them from the boxes.
You've made a discovery! You found the world's strongest string & tags.
You're not even able to make a rip in any of the tags and the string doesn't extend farther than it's current length.

You give up and leave the tags alone.

Looks like a bed you'd see in the 1800s but is surprising sturdy.
The mattress is soft enough, sleepable on.
You look under the bed, and there is absolutely nothing. You feel around for anything secret switches under the bed, but find none.

You're close to finding something, just in the wrong area.

The cup and books are as you left them.
You know you've missed something here.
What do you do now?

 

Check in the cups

 

The cup is still filled with whatever was in the bottle and still has a very strong smell.
You already risked drinking what was in the cup before and you're not taking chances again.

You still know something else is here and you'll need it

Investigate the "things on the walls"

 

You investigate the 3 things on the walls.

Turns out, they're windows, which makes a lot of sense.
At least you don't have to worry about them being eyes.

Investigate the desk

 

I've been waiting for this for so long I can't thank you enough

You go over to the desk and investigate.

The desk has a celling lamp over it, most likely for midnight writing.
On the desk itself, is a ink bottle with a quill inside, a small stack of papers, with writing you're unable to read, and a pair of glasses.

What. Do. You. Do?

 

Put on the glasses

Then because its not prescribed to you, you think that it isnt a good idea to wear

But then again you gain +1 int

But then smash the glasses :)))

put it in your hand but not wear, need a good time for that

 

Why do you do this to me?

You take the glasses.

You put them in your other pocket, and realize that you're out of inventory space.
What now?

 

Read the books at rhe shelf

put them on when you begin reading the books

 

You go back to the shelf and...

By god...
NOT ONLY are you able to read the books, but your whole visions improves in general!

You try to take off your glasses to compare but...
You can't.
You don't feel them on your face.
You then realize that your glasses are just gone!

On the downside, you can no longer see the world in a less-detailed image.
But on the upside, literally everything else about your vision is better!

You read the books.
Two of the them are novels, one about a fisher and the other about a hitchhiker.
The third book is a autobiography by some dude named Neil and all it talks about is how some "mouth" band changed his life or wizard puppets.
The last is a journal, but it is very brief.

The journal reads as follows:
"I woke up here in this cabin of sorts, I have no memory of who I am and I oddly feel inclined to write my thoughts in this journal. Hopefully I can find out what's going on"
"I found a key, but I have no idea where it goes. There's only a doorway to the outside and trying to go out is impossible because my eyes can't stand the light."
"The crates in this room are like solid iron, yet have the texture of wood. Trying to open them is impossible and there isn't a keyhole in any of them and the fact I thought that makes me think I'm going insane"
"I FINALLY found out where the key went, I discov-"

The rest of the journal from here on is just torn, with only one or two words still being visible, but it doesn't provide much help without the entire entre...
The back of the last page is the only one not torn, and only says:
"I've goten the sudden urdge to right down my throughts down, and I have no ideia why."
"I wriped all the pages out to take with me on my joruny and help me out."
"I'm headding down the path, hopping to find someone with ansers."

That was horrible to read.
You wonder if that key is still here...

Having finally making some progress on your quest to find out why you're here, you fall back into bed, and quickly drift asleep.
"Your vision will be your greatest ability new one, observe everything and find everything you can."

When we wake up, take another look outside, incase the eye upgrade helped, e.e

 

You wake up, once again with the voice in your dreams echoing in your head.
You're not even sure if the voice is male or female, its just... a voice...

With your newfound prescription, you decide to go back outside.

The glasses definitely help! The sun still hurts, but the pain is slightly bearable.
Turns out you're in the middle of the woods, with trees all around.

The paths are much more visible, and thus easier to follow.
