Extreme Trouble Joining Server

Full disclosure, I have a very crappy connection to the Internet. It's a third world thing. Most of the time I am completely incapable of joining the server. But even when my connection is at its best (approaching the full 10 mb/s download speed we're supposed to get), it's still extremely difficult for me to join the game. The problem is two-fold:

Issue A: I have difficulty connecting even to the lobby. Half the time it gets stuck on "Logging in" for a while, then throws me the following error: "We had trouble connecting you! io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException".

Issue B: I have even greater, much greater, difficulty actually connecting to any of the worlds from the lobby. After selecting a server, 9/10 times the game gets stuck on "Loading terrain...", then eventually folds to "Disconnected".

This is obviously extremely frustrating. What might be the problem, and is there anything I can do about it?


(It's probably worth mentioning what country I'm trying to connect from, which is South Africa.)

Probably related: The lag I experience on the server is extreme. Not just copious amounts of typical server lag, but also momentary game freezing and fps drops as if my machine is struggling. At the moment the game is unplayable.

How do I know if I'm using US or EU?

 

play.wynncraft.com is the US ip, and when you get into a lobby and click the compass, it'll show you US servers, you'll see on your right there is an emerald, which shows US servers, while the magma cream shows EU servers.
eu.wynncraft.com is the EU ip, and when you get into a lobby and click the compass, it'll show you EU servers.
If you use EU ip on US servers it won't work properly. If you use US ip on EU servers it won't work properly either. Use the correct ip and the correct servers at the same time.

 

No it seems to be a problem with Wynn servers recently. I live in Canada and this happens all the time... (same disconnect messages too)

I am having this problem too. Most of the time when I am ingame it runs smoothly, but I have extreme difficulty to join the servers. Anyone knows what can I do about it?

 

same, never had these issues prior to 1.19 but its starting to get a bit ridiculous, i have good internet but 90% of the time i cant even join a world, just spent 10 minutes straight trying to connect and eventually gave up
