SPOILER Length Of Player's Journey

Hello.

Today i've finished quest "Recipe for disaster".

In that quest, we meet cook from Ragni. He became a great chef of his own restaurant in Ahmsord.
He tells us that he has came a long way from being cook from Ragni.

I have explored his kitchen a bit and found some awards:

There is "Golden spoon" awards from 994AP to 1000AP.
that means his career was more than 6 years long. Player meets him when he was cook in Ragni and I think that he won those awards after being cook from Ragni. That means player's journey from being fresh recruit to high level player was long not in months, but in YEARS! Maybe Wynncraft's Earth have faster orbit around the Sun? But it's confirmed that present year is 1000AP, so it's not possible.

Well, tell me what you think about this theory,

It’s possible that he could’ve won a few of those rewards before going to Ragni. It would make a bit more sense for the king to hire someone with more credentials too.

 

Well, it is possible. But that contest maybe is only available in Gavel, and I doubt he left his work to sail to Gavel only for contests.

 

Is nobody going to question why the cook in Ragni speaks normal english and Hamsey speaks broken english, even though they’re supposedly the same person?

I'm pretty sure French mixed with English doesn't classify as broken English

 

french is a broken language so it checks out

 

The story of the player begins at 1000ap so he must have gotten the award before you meet him at Ragni

 

I think on the contrary yes, he did go overseas to another country to compete, like if it was really prestigious like how with people going to conventions, or people traveling in sports to compete.

Its part of the ahmsford cook job requirement.

 

Oh, well maybe he started out in Gavel, but went to Ragni for a bit under the request of the King, and then finished his job and went back to Gavel.

Oh well, it doesn’t matter that much in the grand scheme of things anyway.

 

I feel like we're missing a big question here:
If the Chef truly came from Gavel - and had these awards prior - to visit Ragni for a time, how is he so incompetent that he doesn't have enough ingredients - nor the means to acquire them without asking some random stranger that walks past his shop - to make cakes?

True, he might not have been able to bring his ingredients from Gavel, but surely if he was hired by the king, the king would at least provide him the ingredients to work with to make the food; rather than making him pay out of his own pocket.
