Your Near Death Experiences

So, dying isn't exactly much of a risk as everyone usually carries a plentiful amount of soul points on their travels, but either way, what are your most notorious near-death experiences?
I don't exactly think I can remember one, but today I fell from the sky islands as a shaman, I used the good ol' flying shaman technique to maneuver to a small island, but then I lagged and gravity took the better of me, I was below the island, but then I got close to a water stream and pulled myself upwards.

 

Today I lagged midair while teleporting in the sky islands, a couple of seconds later i find myself in an island, literally 1 block away from falling into the void

 

This is a coincidence and a half right here. A few hours ago I was trying out the tower of ascension and since I'm playing as a level 45 Assassin, I decide it'll be an okay idea to attempt level 2 (level 50-60).

What I didn't realize was that I was low on soul points and so a death would make me lose a bunch of stuff. So I got up to the 5th floor of level 2. And I'm instantly horded by projectile-throwing mobs which make me drain all my health potions.
I had one Detlas scroll on me, I was hiding in the corner of the entrance where I occasionally took some damage.
I was about to sigh with relief as I used the scroll. Except I forgot aggressive mobs nearby prevents teleportation.

I'm now in a pickle. A true pickle indeed.

So with 50 hp left and about 3 mana left. I can't sprint and I can't teleport. So with the last of my mana I used "Vanish" which propelled me towards and past the mobs. I saw my life flash before my eyes as I narrowly dodge 3 projectiles left going towards me. I had about 2 seconds to make my move before my mana completely drained. I *Slowly* waddled over to the exit whilst spamming my Detlas scroll. And then my mana ran out and I became visible. At the very last second I heard multiple projectiles being thrown at me. And then my scroll worked and I got to Detlas with a HP where literally stubbing my toe (If I had any) would kill me.

TL;DR Clutch af Assassin & Teleportation Scroll moment in Tower of Ascension with not many soul points left.

 

I was an Archer. I was in the middle of Qira's bossfight when everything froze for a solid 5 seconds, spammed arrow storm while frozen, and i managed to have just enough defense to tank a couple of hits. Won the fight and finished the quest.

 

Jesus, that sounds like a bad experience indeed

 

While fighting a LI boss, probably Cybel (it's been a while; I only remember the event), I lagged just as the boss used a charge spell, which caused me to not dodge, which caused it to hit me directly taking me down to 500 HP. It went so low I actually though I had died at first, and it took me a second to process the fact that I was still alive and right next to an enemy that could absolutely one-shot me. Luckily I managed to escape and heal, but I definitely panicked. Good times.

Not sure how you would nearly die when you're already dead but ok

 

Going to EO with a party, everyone's now dead except for me, we got to the 3rd phase, 150k HP left and my meteors are making it fall below that at an incredible rate for being solo.
Wretches start coming out
I'm out of Skill point pots, my last def is gonna run out soon. Now its gone, im back to 12k HP, and mana pots are out, wretches come in again, they reach the eye this time, i'm already lower than max health, im getting swarmed by those little eye mobs that come out, finally the wretches damage hits me and just right before i get to 0 HP from the little eye mobs swarming me, i healed and thankfully i survived that, and then i proceeded to killing the swarm and the eye.
Got out of it alive somehow but perfectly healing at around 50 HP when im being swarmed and attack and surviving that is like my biggest wynnchievement.

 

Watching negative walkspeed people getting nuked by a magma cube train coming from a giant eyeball is satisfying

 

As a negative walkspeed person, I feel this...

 

It's even worse if you're a Shaman and you use Haul without recasting Totem and end up getting closer to the Eye

i actually survived but this does sum up my EO experience very well

 

So I was grinding Portal Emanations on a HHIC class at about level 30, keep in mind I was grinding for my level 30 set, so I was only wearing level 20 gear. The ingredient was dropped from a rare mob near the nether portal and in one of the caves off to the side. This was near one of the quest areas for Temple of the Legends (Yes you can see where this was going) and as a mage I might have accidentally teleported into that cave through the push back wall thing... I also had no mana. So, here I am in a level 70 zone, WITH LEVEL 20 STUFF, on a HARDCORE character. I had about 700 health total and I got hit by a mob that did 500 in one go... I /classed instantly and wondered what I could do, I was screwed right? All I did was login to the HHIC character, walk like 3 blocks before anything could spawn in, and /class again. I eventually made my way back to the barrier, and waited to teleport out, I just survived on about 200 health.



Never farming those again

 

i accidentally let a wretch slip under my awareness, so as the eye expressed that he doesnt want me in its sight i escaped into the air and as it attacked me i was now down like (considering it takes away 90% hp and i was at about 500 hp i got down to somewhere near 45 health) 45 hp. just as the retaliating gazers were ready to start pouncing on me and deliver the final blow i pressed shift while in the air to kill the retaliating gazers in one fell swoop. at 45 hp. i later recovered and eventually killed the eye but you can never understand the feeling of biting the dust of a wretch

 

thought you meant in real life

 

When you get very far in a quest and run out oh hp pots and you know if you die now you will respawn in lusuco

 

This kids, is why shouldn't use tank shaman

You should've used Therck Armor, craftable at lvl 1 yet can be used until lvl 31

How is he gonna get therk armor on a class with ironman activated? Therk set requires you to complete enzan's brother 30 times, and use the bank to transfer the ingredients.
