Discoverer should have its loot bonus halved and have some loot quality too (even tho that stat is exclusive to crafteds)

Yeah ik, but it would help make Discoverer more lootrun friendly (in case you can't tell, loot bonus+loot quality gear is somewhat cheap, a lot cheaper than a discoverer in fact, like 10 le per piece, if you get a full set, including accessories, you'd have a set that may as well be more powerful than discover at the price of a stack of le)

Son, did I ever tell you the time I was drafted on the wybel island war? Hmm, if I remember correctly, we were surrounded by orange wybels on the first day of said war, they were in the trees! THE GODAMN TREES! When Air Support finnaly arrived, only 9 of the 1000 of us were still standing... And guess what they dropped? SLIDERS, YES SLIDERS! And bad sliders too! Not only were they the worst dagger I had ever seen but worse: the max ws was set to 52%, now what was all this meaning? What were we fighting for? For a 52% ws Slider? Never have I ever felt more rage than on the Wybel Island... and it is why I fled the army. I went into exile where me and your mom developped our relationship... ah she was a good 52% ws ArchangeL before everyone started criticizing her for being "useless" and that the godamn Slider of Satan were more usefull than her....

I don’t really “hate” any legendary or mythic, but I’ll get slightly off topic by talking about my least favorite ingredient.

Borange Fluff is currently awful. It is one of, if not, the worst ingredient in the game considering its cost to benefit ratio (by cost I mean rarity, not necessarily monetary value). Yes, 12% to everything without a durability cost seems useful on paper, but in practice, it isn’t. I played around with it a while ago on wynndata and found that the 12% boost was negligible most of the time. This wouldn’t be so bad if you weren’t limited to 6 slots only. Every slot is important and using BF feels like a waste. You’re better off using another booster ingredient like Lunar Charm or a different one entirely;It might have a durability cost, but at least it will make a measurable difference in your recipe, something that I can’t say about this useless piece of shit. A rare reward from the hardest boss altar in the game SHOULD be better than this!

 

That's what I mean I totally understand that, I feel like that isn't a hatred. I just find it weird that some people despise an item unless it's for good reason.

in all seriousness, it sucks because:
- extremely hard to get
- +12% ingred effectiveness is mostly insignificant, it can't even help other ingreds make it to +100%.
- bob's tear is more useful in recipes with decaying heart or doom stone
only reason why its good is because it has no negative durability, but if you are going to use it then you might as well just shove a dura booster in there instead of borange fluff

 

Someone said this before, but I hate Discoverer, or more the price people pay.
It is probably subbing out Diamond Dust in most builds where it is used. So you go from about 40lb with Ddust to 150 with Disco

1-20% lb - 100% effective on chests
21-40% lb - 75% effective
41-60% lb - 50% effective
61-80% lb - 25% effective
>80% lb - 20% effective
Basically at 80lb you get +50% loot on chests then it's 20% effective after that.
With LQ pants and leggings (what most people use) you'd get about 100% lb when combined with Diamond Dust and about 200-250% with a normal Discoverer
That means you get about +54% loot on chests with Ddust and about +74% - +84% loot on chests with Discoverer.
154% total loot vs 179% loot (using assumed averages for Disco)
174/154 is 1.16
You get about 1.16x loot with Disco under these circumstances - fairly normal ones I'd assume
Disco costs like 30 stx so if you're gonna use it purely for lootrunning then you'd have to find about 210stx worth of items using Disco, or about 21 mythics. This is because Disco gives you approx. 7/6 of the items you'd normally get, so you need that extra 1/6th to make up 30 stx to make your money back.

As you can tell 210 stx (with Disco) is like... a lot. Assuming a mythic every 2.5k chests and that a normal mythic is 10 stx in value, that's about 21 mythics required to justify buying a Disco, or over 50k chests, which <10 people have achieved in total.

TL;DR - Stacking Disco with other lb items (like many people do) makes absolutely no sense unless it is re-sold after some usage. Disco is probably best used then re-sold after some usage, which I have not seen happen much in my experience. It also holds good potential when used with cost-heavy items which speed up LRing, such as Warp. This is because in a build with lower loot bonus (from using slots to accomodate a cost-heavy item) it will not be hit as harshly by the diminishing effect of loot bonus.

Basically I don't like the pedestal Disco is sometimes held upon by the community. It is overrated as hecc and not financially viable unless you loot a metric shit ton with it or resell it. Despite having 57k chests and having the money for a Disco, I will not be buying one any time soon.
