I just recently hit a Yu-Gi-Oh kick for whatever reason, and I ended up making a bunch of cards based around corruption, with a couple of Silent Expanse creatures thrown in. The cards' balancing I was helped with by someone on discord who isn't part of the Wynn community, but apparently this would fit generally pretty well within a modern format. The game sure has power-crept a lot since last I played!

There's no art for the cards, however...if anyone wants to try and draw them it'd be cool, but it would be your choice and the art isn't really necessary.

    Text:
When this card is Summoned: Place a Corruption Counter on an opponent's monster. If your opponent controls no monsters: you can place 1 Corruption Counter on 1 monster you control, once per turn. Monsters you control gain 100 ATK and 300 DEF for each Corruption Counter they have while "Addle Borer" is on the field. Monsters your opponents control lose 300 ATK and DEF for each Corruption Counter they have while Addle Borer is on the field. If your opponent attacks a Fiend-type monster you control while Addle Borer is on the field, the attacking monster loses 500 ATK. If you control monsters other than "Addle Borer", this card cannot be attacked.

General appearance: A leech-looking thing. Disgusting and slimy, able to bore under the skin like a parasite.
    Text:
When this card is Summoned: Place a Corruption Counter on an opponent's monster. If your opponent controls no monsters: you can place 1 Corruption Counter on 1 monster you control. Monsters you control gain 100 ATK and DEF for each Corruption Counter they have while "Corrupted" is on the field. You can only use each effect of "Corrupted" once per turn.

General appearance: Some horrendous dark bug, wicking off purple haze. I imagine sort of like a facehugger but less phallic; that sort of scuttly scorpion-like appearance. Corrupter Spawn look roughly the same.
Text: Short enough to be easily legible.

General appearance: Instead of being cutesy and cube-like, it'd be a roiling jam of red and yellow magma in a more generic goopy shape sloughing off all over.
Text: Short enough to be easily legible.

General appearance: Purple robes with red detailing, being "worn" by wispy smoke curling into spirals. Not very solid-looking.
Text: Short enough to be easily legible.

General appearance: A dark, stone-hewn looking creature with evil eyes, a very strong-looking body, and one arm much bigger than the other that instead of ending in a fist, has a blunted end, like a tree trunk.
Text: Short enough to be easily legible.

General appearance: A blaze, but less cuboid. More mystical-seeming, with bronze rivets on the rods arcing fire between the,, and purple smoke venting from the central "unit".
Text: Short enough to be reasonably legible.

General appearance: A zombie warrior, covered in red patches of corruption and holding a rusty sword. Not like a Minecraft green zombie, either; more like a real, skin-rotting away, bone-visible, decaying zombie.
Text: Short enough to be easily legible.

Appearance: A bat or wyvern-like creature that's extremely jagged, looking like it was carved from obsidian. Extremely angular with sharp edges all over.
Text: Short enough to be reasonable legible.

General appearance: Dark-skinned with red eyes and dripping red claws on its hands and feet, lunging towards the viewer with an arm outstretched.
Text: Short enough to be legible.

General appearance: An eye monster with the eye having a gray iris and looking bloodshot. The optic nerves coming from the back of it twist and turn into a pulsating, horrific, and misproportioned effigy of a humanoid form.
Text: Short enough to be reasonably legible.

General appearance: Like a bigger, more violent magma slime. Has corruption spikes peeking out of the magma, and stones and dirt fizzling on the surface.
Text: Short enough to be reasonably legible.

General appearance: A black slime monster with the same tarry slime sloughing off of it from every angle. Tar is gushing from where the neck would be, its body language looking somehow concerned for the viewer without being cartoony.
    Text:
This card cannot be Normal-Summoned or Set. This monster must be Ritual-Summoned using the Spell Card "Corruption Unleashed". When this monster enters the battlefield, place up to 5 CorruptionCounters on any monsters, divided in any way. If your opponent controls a monster with 2 or more Corruption Counters: take control of one of them and if you do, they gain the Zombie type. You can only use this effect of "Corrupter of Worlds" once per turn. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY, you may Special-Summon up to 3 "Corrupter Spawn Tokens" (Fiend/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 9) to the field in Attack Position. You can only use this effect of "Corrupter of Worlds" once per turn. If this card declares an attack against a monster or is targeted for an attack by an opposing monster, its ATK is multiplied by five during damage calculation. If this card declares an attack or is targetted for an attack and the opposing monster's DEF is less than this card's ATK, the opposing monster is destroyed. This counts as an attack from this monster. This monster can only declare an attack twice per turn.

General appearance: A large skeleton, looming over the viewer. Emeralds are shoved into its eye-sockets. From the neck down, most of its body is covered in molten emerald that has cooled into a crystalline formation, forming irregular spikes at various part of its body. Its hands are visibly blackened, with some of the bones fused together.
General appearance: Same as Corrupteds, really.
Text: "Corrupted" + "Corrupted" or "Corrupter Spawn Token" + "Corrupted" or "Corrupter Spawn Token"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. When this card is Summoned: Place 2 Corruption Counters on an opponent's monster. If your opponent controls a monster with 2 or more Corruption Counters: take control of one of them and if you do, they gain the Zombie type. During your Standby Phase: Place 1 Corruption Counter on this card. If your opponent controls no monsters: you can place 1 Corruption Counter on 1 monster you control. Monsters you control gain 150 ATK and DEF for each Corruption Counter they have while "Soul Corrupter" is on the field. If this card is destroyed and sent to the GY, you may distribute the Corruption Counters that were on this card as you choose amongst all monsters on the field. Then, place 1 Corruption counter on any monster. You can only use each effect of "Soul Corrupter" once per turn.

General appearance: A mass of Corrupteds poorly imitating a human form, stretched out in ways that just should not work proportionally. Stringy, fetid, and broken-apart, it doesn't look like it should exist.
    Text: "Blazing Construct" + "1 Fiend-type Monster"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. Up to twice per turn, you may pay 400 LP to activate one of these effects: This monster's ATK and DEF increase by 400, it gains 1 Corruption Counter. Target one monster, that monster's attack points increase by 800 until the end of the turn and also gains 1 Corruption Counter. If Hellblaze God's Attack Points are greater than 4000, you may banish an opponent's monster. You can only use this effect of "Hellblaze God" once per turn.

General appearance: Sort of an Ultra-blaze. The flames ringing the bronze rods have become purple and blue instead of red, and end in spikes, along with having an extra layer of rods. The central unit has an eye on all sides of it.
    Text: "Obsessor" + "1 FIRE-attribute Monster"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. When this card is Summoned, place up to 4 Corruption Counters on any monsters, divided in any way. Additionally, target a monster. Destroy that monster and deal damage equal to half its ATK directly to the opponent's LP. You can only use this effect of "Mental Baptizer" once per turn. Monsters that attack "Mental Baptizer" or that are targetted for an attack by "Mental Baptizer" gain 2 Corruption Counters. If a monster has 2 or more Corruption Counters while this card is on the field, you may destroy that monster and deal damage equal to half its ATK directly to the opponent's LP. You can only use this effect of "Mental Baptizer" once per turn. This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell/Trap effects.

General appearance: Light an Obsessor on fire. The tar gushing out of the neck is now white-hot flames instead of black sludge, which it is directing around it in various shapes.
Text: "Corrupter of Worlds" + "1 FIRE-attribute Monster"
This card cannot be Normal-Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon done with the above Fusion Materials. When this monster enters the battlefield, place up to 5 Corruption counters on any monsters, divided in any way. If a monster has 2 or more Corruption Counters, you may banish that monster and deal 1000 Life Points damage to the opponent. You may only use this effect of "Annihilator of Worlds" once per turn. If this card declares an attack against a monster or is targeted for an attack by an opposing monster, its Attack Points are multiplied by five during damage calculation. If this card declares an attack or is targeted for an attack and the opposing monster's DEF is less than this card's ATK, the opposing monster is destroyed. This card may attack twice per turn. This card is unaffected by opposing monster's effects and cannot be banished.

General appearance: The Corrupter of Worlds, consumed by red corrupted flames. The emeralds are instead blazing fires trailing out of his eyes, and the flames behind him have the general silhouette of a screaming or laughing skeletal face.
Text: "Corrupter of Worlds" + "1 DARK-attribute Monster"
This card cannot be Normal-Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon done with the above Fusion Materials. When this monster enters the battlefield, place up to 5 Corruption counters on any monsters, divided in any way. If your opponent controls a monster with 2 or more Corruption Counters: take control of one of them and if you do, it gains the Zombie Type and gains the ability "Opposing monsters lose 300 ATK and DEF for each Corruption Counter on this monster." If this card is attacked, you may change its position to Defense Position. While this card is in Defense Position, opposing monsters lose 400 ATK and DEF for each Corruption Counter on this monster. While this card is on the field, your opponent must attack it. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY, you may Special-Summon up to 3 "Corrupter Spawn Tokens" (Fiend/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 9) to the field in Attack Position, and place up to 3 Corruption counters on any monsters, divided in any way. You can only use this effect of "The Blackening Decay" once per turn. If your opponent plays a Spell or Trap card, you may put 1 Corruption Counter on a monster. This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell/Trap effects.

General appearance: The Corrupter of Worlds, taken over by some form of creeping blackness, tendrils of it creeping like veins up his body, suspended in midair over a pool of it.
Text: Easily readable, small typo: "300 TK" intended to be "300 ATK"

General appearance: An artistic rendition of the Roots of Corruption, minus the portal.

General appearance: A close-up of the Twain's seal on the Corrupter being shattered by the Corrupter's hand.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: A close-up of a soldier, staring fearfully at his arm, which starting from his hand, is turning red from corruption spreading up it. Dropping his weapon optional!
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: A Corruption Spike shooting up from a fissure in the ground suddenly, while people flee in terror.
Text: Readable. Fun fact, this is strong enough to be banned in normal formats!

General appearance: A geyser of lava rising up from a corrupted crag, and homing in on a soldier who's bracing himself for impact.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: A patch of grassy ground surrounding a creeping patch of corruption with purple smoke wicking out of the corrupted ground.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: The corruption spikes in the Pigman's Ravines striking a passing soldier instead of a Pigman.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: The "Monster Reborn" cross, covered in corrupted details, with the prominent red gem becoming a purple, swirling miasma like the portal.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: The Corrupter of Worlds laying in pieces on the ground, with Corrupter Spawn creeping out of his remains, causing the emerald skin to bubble and fester, turning purple and red in spots.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: A man, who is not Garoth, appearing to fall down into the Nether Portal.
    Text: Readable.

General appearance: The same soldier from Beset by Corruption cutting down another soldier in battle. The one being attacked looks, well, betrayed or shocked.

Some issues with this deck are the utter lack of draw power, and the real inability to deal with opposing trap or spell cards. Additionally, there's a card, Counter Cleaner, which removes every single counter on the field, and cards that reverse attacks back onto you or have effects such as that will destroy it. It's strong, but it's not without its flaws!
