So combat starts.
James goes first.

James moves over to Damian and uses his action to attack you twice.
1: 19+6 = 25, \ which I assume hits.
So that is 6 bludgeoning damage on the first hit.

2: 2+6 = 8, which misses.

@Enhanced_Human it is now Nuscae's turn.
There is also an unconscious Claira laying on the floor.

 

I'm going to run up to James and start this off with a good old classic Inflict Wounds.

Cast shrillegagh (ew spelin) with my bonus action and move up to james (idk is he the red token or the fancy token) to bonk him with my stick.

Needle runs into the room from upstairs his cloak is open now and the eye holes of his mask are glowing red

You know, I'm still not actually clear on who James is and why we are fighting him

 

We are fighting him because
a) he struck first
b) he’s either corrupted James or not-actually James

 

He might have felt frightened and saw an opening when you 2 people left upstairs.
