If you add ingredients when crafting, it gives more xp. I thought I had to farm all these ingredients...
Until I found this:

It's Necromacy merchant in Thanos bazaar. It sells bone meal and rotten flesh, so you don't need to worry for ingredients in woodworking, weaponsmithing, armoring and tailoring!
And there's potato merchant in Brimminglar, so no worry for cooking ingredients too. Now you have to only get ingredient for scribing, jeweling and alchemism.

How come did no one tell me this before?

 

But will Rotten Flesh and Bone Meal give the same XP when you do level 10 crafting vs when you do level 80 crafting? If it does, using rotten flesh at level 80 crafting will make no sense and the rotten flesh you buy will be useless.

 

The most useful thing about this merchant is that it makes certain slaying posts, Grave Digger and lvl 1 crafting easy. Apart from that I don't really see a use for this, using a level 1 ingredient will not do much at level 80 crafting.

 

It also sell zombies eyes, still not enough but it good for leveling

 

That is what I was thinking. That means buying Rotten Flesh or Bone Meal for crafting is pretty much useless. (Because leveling crafting from 1 to 20 takes around 2-3 items without ingredients added.)

These items sold will only help you (and not very effectively) at low levels of crafting anyway, so I don't believe they're any use.

 

idk what's up with that, but this is likely wrong

i hit 110 jeweling on my hic yesterday (lol flex) using only gold bars from level 107-110 and it was giving me about 80k (average i think) XP per craft, which is still tiny but 8x more XP than crafting without ingredients which was about 8k-10k

that said the profession that I crafted the 8k recipe with is alchemism and making necklaces generally gives more XP

but yeah i'm definitely getting *some* xp

might try it later if i ever get to mining dernic gems again, so if anyone wants me to test this later today i can

that said it's still a really shitty method and i only used it because i had literally 25le in my ing pouch and my inv was mostly full of resources

I mean if you are high combat level or have found your way to Thanos before, and low crafting, it could cretainly be useful.

 

Because people stopped caring about it after mod saying it's bannable to use that merchant after 1.18 update

on forum, everything you found is known to everyone.. till new update.

 

It should be a thing. Where there's a merchant once in a while which sells or trades random low tier ingredients.

 

And here I was using totems to farm rotten flesh.. fuk

 

Shoulda just bought like a stack of Stolen Goods or somethin
