You go in?

 

I open it and look inside

 

It's a dark room, the trail still going. Seems like a bedroom.

 

I conjure up an Eldritch Blast, ready to throw at anything that moves. I enter and follow the trail.

 

A horrific smell fills your nostrils as you enter the room.

 

I cover my nose and advance

 

The trail leads to a closet, its doors shut by a plank.

 

I stand a bit away, and try to blast the plank.

Btw, does EB make noise? I kind of imagine it doing a night fury-like noise, but I don't know.

 

Needle follows

 

I wanna say it does. Not like a gun shot, maybe like as loud as clapping your hands.

 

Okay, do I need to roll?

 

Not to hit, but roll damage. Hitting either the plank or closet itself with enough damage should break it.

How does James react?

 

You hit the plank. The closet doors fall open and body hits the floor.

You hear something heavy fall, sound coming from the upper floor.

You look at James, his eyes widen. Then he smiles.
"You should have just given it to me, Claira. Then this all wouldn't have happened." His voice sounds twisted in a way.

He raises his fist and lashes out to Claira, whose body drops to the floor.

I need @Tsukiya, @SPYROHAWK and @Enhanced_Human to roll initiave, as the other two are upstairs and don't take not of this atm.

 

I turn to Needle, "You could see this coming from a mile away." @bluepenguin1002
I smirk and twirl my fingers, black sinewy tendrils snaking from my left arm weaving and together around a red core.
'Ilina': "Let's go, Needle."
Stalking calmly out of the bedroom, IRL I'll wait for the ones downstairs to start combat.
