Sorry to break up discussion, but here's my extremely hot take that the new tutorial isn't that bad and is at least better than the old one.

First of all, every (J)RPG has hours of handholding. Persona 5 does and it's considered one of the best games of the decade. King's Recruit, on the other hand, lasts for about 10 minutes. I've said this before and nobody dares to give me a valid rebuttal. AND YOU CAN SKIP IT WITH NO PENALTY. That's pretty awesome if you ask me. In a perfect world, we can always have tutorials like BOTW's Great Plateau, but it isn't a perfect world.

Second, it shouldn't teach everything about the game. Having everything crammed into the tutorial would be overwhelming, thus why "tutorial" quests are spread out from the 1-10 lv range, such as elemental exercise, the ragni sewers quest, etc. Other tutorials in video games, such as the great plateau example I used earlier, doesn't teach you everything either.

Third, "the worst quest in the game"? Most tutorial levels are. In any video game, which part do you prefer: The beginning or the end? It's not bad game design for earlier levels to be not as interesting as later ones, it's simply an unwritten rule in game design.

Ok that's it, keep posting memes

It's not that it doesn't teach everything. It's that it doesn't even teach the important parts of the game, instead wasting most of its time on professions,

It teaches how to talk with npc's, Check
It teaches how to fight mobs, Check
It teaches how to gather n craft (optional indeed but still a major part of wynn if you choose to do it), Check
Doesn't teach about skill points, does it have to ?
Skill points are pretty self explanatory.
Powders and ect. can be learnt about from other sources later on and you definitely don't have any need to learn about them at the start.
Item identifying is pretty self explanatory so it item selling.

What important parts does it not teach, that a level 1 to 10 should know ?

    - The tutorial also teaches you how to cast spells which is quite an important aspect of the game. Even if the quest doesn't really let you use it to it's full potential yet (as all you need to do is break some boulder or heal the soldier to do it for you), any curious person, and honestly I think this is what is expected from any new player, would go after the tutorial and try shooting shit with their newly learnt spell and go "Aaaah, so this is what it does".

    - Armour are not too necessary to be explained in the tutorial. You are most likely to stumble upon a piece by either becomming curious as why is a random chest sparkling in the middle of nowhere (and bamm finding your helmet of your life) or a poor zombie dropping it. One might even end up learning about their existence by wandering in the Ragni armour shop. Nevertheless, it's too easy to find one.

    - The player doesn't need to be explained what HP does stand for as it is something extremely common, and even if you came from under a rock you may notice that if you take a hit then your HP will go down and as long as it is above 0 you're fine. Mana is obvious either. You notice you lose some as you cast a spell, you see that it is regenerating and if you go all out you'll also see that you have to wait once you drained all of it.

    - I just can't imagine being stopped by an NPC every 5 blocks to be explained what each ID does. The player will eventually learn about them. Heck, some IDs are so self-explanatory: Health, Health regen, Spell cost, Spell Damage, Melee damage, Thorns, Life Steal, Mana Steal, etc.; any normal player would know that "Well spell damage must increase somehow the damage dealt by my spells" and so on. Who would go on and start talking about calculations on how IDs affect your spell damage?. Of course there are the more obscure ones as "Reflection" because who knows what makes it different from Thorns. Not that it matters as it is a useless ID anyways. There are the ones that don't seem to be clear in the beggining like "Poison" but it is easy to learn how it works once you hit something and watch it's life bar gloriously drain. If you played Minecraft, you might even expect Poison to do that. At level 10 you'll learn what elements are and eventually it will become clear what "+Water Damage%" stands for.

It is all about experimenting and discovering new stuff as you progress in the game. The tutorial does fine in giving you the needed foundations. It would be no more interesting than some long boring manual if it started explaining everything from A to Z.

*Teaches you a side mechanic no one needs.*
    This is just wrong...

You pretty obviously don't know much about game design.
But Wynncrafts tutorial isn't it boss.

    3 Things a tutorial needs.
    1. To reflect the game as a whole, acting as a sample piece.
    2. To teach the core gameplay loop and mechanics.
    3. To actually be fucking fun.

Fallout New Vegas, for example, does this extremely well, opening you up to a starter town, in which the whole thing acts as a tutorial.
This is great because it allows players to interact with the core gameplay with somewhat low stacks situation, while also allowing knowledgeable players to move on whenever.
It also has one major quest, the Battle Over Goodsprings, which not only reflects the kind of choices you may make in the game as a whole but is also good enough for old players to play the tutorial FOR FUN.
This isn't even to bring up the roleplaying, which is pretty nice since the tutorial quest allows players to interact with it to the extent that they want to.

Wynncrafts on the other hand fundamentally fail in many places.
While it's optional, it's not optional for good reasons. Plus if people want to skip the tutorial so much that they had to add an option to do so, then there's probably something wrong with it.
So why is it not a good skip? Well like I said before, it's so bad that people WANT to skip it, but also because it's either a complete skip or you're forced to do all of it. You aren't given the ability to interact to the extent you personally need.
It also fails to teach players the core gameplay loop, instead of teaching them an entirely optional gameplay component. It should be teaching them about loot, exploring, iding, and leveling.
Seeing as the core gameplay loop is Explore (Incoulds questing) -> Find Loot -> Id/Sell Loot-> Repet until leveling.
Finally, it again fails to actually represent the game. At most, it shows people what quest could potentially look like, but it's not fundamentally the only part of the game the quest should reflect. In its current state, people probably start off Wynncraft thinking it's about Gathering and Crafting, not Looting and exploring.

If your only real defense of the tutorial is you can skip it, and one other good game has a bad tutorial, well, that's dumb.
You shouldn't need to skip it to be bearable.

    Also yeah, no.
I've seen a countless number of noobs have no fucking idea what to do with items.
Its a compacted issue, for one they think you get loot via crafting, so why would they bother?
    Two, it's not self-explanatory.
    ________________________________
Whether or not a player can eventually learn a lot of this themselves, that doesn't make the current tutorial good.
It still focuses on a completely optional mechanic, isn't much fun overall, and does a somewhat bad job at explaining what features it does attempt to explore.
Saying it's about experimenting doesn't address this, and also seems like a shitty excuse to leave a lot of players left hanging.
