The fact that only certain emojis render on this website bugs me. Every time I want to call someone a clown, I have to send a jpeg of the emoji rather than simply using it

One thing that drives me up a tree when arguing with someone (not on these forums, and rarely online at all) is when they say a game is good because it’s fun. That’s like saying a song is good because it’s catchy. Sure, you can listen to a song because it’s catchy, and it’s one of the main factors that makes a song good, but it’s not/shouldn’t be the end-all for what makes the song objectively good.

 

maybe they just cant put a finger on the one thing that makes it good

 

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 isn't a very well-designed game, but I'd still say it's fun to play, and therefore I'd recommend to others looking for a nice long JRPG to play.

It’s okay to like a game because it’s fun, just like how you can like a song because it’s catchy. However, you shouldn’t use it to defend a game for being objectively good. For example, SwSh is “fun” despite having many problems: Mediocre graphics for the system, stilted animations, a bad story, linear and small/empty region, a horrendous lack of polish, and 50% of all existing pokemon gone
