Aquila sat crisscross on a small wooden bench peering up at the stars. She was exiled to a small, isolated floting island by Corvus for her massive involvement in the last Magia war. She didn’t know why she was singled out though... all the angels participated in the war.

Frustration was all Aquila felt. A new patriotic group decided to show up and blow up all the churches in New York. Worst part was Kayla was in the first church to be bombed and Aquila couldn’t do anything.

The punishment for leaving her island would be death to her and Kayla. Any contact between them would also result in the sane punishment. Aquila didn’t understand why Corvus was being so severe.

All Aquila could do was watch as Kayla tried and failed to stop the group from destroying the churches.

Aquila checked back on Kayla, being her Guardian Angel allowed her to see her whenever she felt like it. Kayla was perched on a rooftop, shivering in her Marksman attire. Being out during night in winter was not doing her well. She was surveying one of the few remaining churches waiting for the group to appear. Aquila could hear a ticking sound but it sounded as if it was far in the distance. Kayla then took off her right glove and reached into her pocket, pulling out a watch. An old watch, instead of a wrist watch.

“Oh,” Aquila thought to herself. It was the Totem of Time disguised as a... watch. Aquila recognized the green glow around it. Arya was the last person in possession of the Time Totem and she died only a few days ago, the last day of her contract with Corvus. She must have handed it down to Kayla. Aquila was surprised to find that Kayla had the strength to wield the Totem of Time.

Suddenly, Kayla perked her head up. A car from the street was speeding straight for the doors of the church. A green aura appeared around Kayla for a split second but then she vanished from Aquila’s sight. Aquila panicked and looked around. She found Kayla lying on the floor of the ceiling a few yards away coughing and clutching her chest as if something hit her. The car slams into the church and explodes.

She stopped time, Aquila realized.

She stopped time to stop the car but then someone hit her. Someone that was also able to move in stopped time.

Aquila’s fears quickly came to pass. Corvus appeared towering over Kayla’s body before both of them disappeared.

Aquila snapped back to the floating island. She found her whole body tense and her fists clenched. Corvus was looking for complete control of the human world and with both Arya and Quantum gone, she could finally do it. The only onstacle left was a little girl with the Totem of Time and Corvus was going to break her in every way possible.

Aquila stood up and her wings sprouted from her back.

She had one last job to do.

I’m very confused but I’m assuming you have to know all the characters before reading this since no character introduction was given.

I wouldn’t consider that a fight since the girl, Kayla, got steamrolled (pun intended) by whoever Corvus is.
