Needle wanders up to the group and just silently decides that yes, he wants to follow people he has no idea why but he does.

 

Alright, so you all see a murder of crows circling in the sky. It seems to be above an area you're heading.

Everyone, except for Blue, see this 5 feet tall humanoid figure following you. They are wearing a plague doctor or bird like mask, making it harder to see their face. You saw them in the Grumbling Grape yesterday, but they didn't seem to partake in any conversation at the time. They are silently following you to wherever you are going.
Ilina, you recognize and remember this humanoid as Needle.

 

I motion for them to hurry up a bit.
"This hardly looks good," I say to the group about the crows.

 

I go ahead and go to the front of the group, drawing my halberd when we get close to our destination.

 

The figure tilts his head and draws a tiny little rapier

 

I turn and stop.
A rather stout creature in full armor that covers his skin and a large halberd stares you down, though you can't see my eyes through my helmet.
"You want somethin'?"

 

In a stout dwarf voice
"Yes captain!"

 

"Then what."

 

The figure shrugs tries to say something, can't, then just mutters
"Bird brain"
same voice still

 

I take a second, before turning to the rest of the group.
"What is this thing and why is it following us?"

 

He is about 5 feet tall. It is clearly a human(oid)

 

Taking my background into account, is there any way that I know what this thing is?

 

Intellegence check.

You can't see any facial features, as the person is well covered in clothing. But they are of some humanoid race.
Hard to tell.

 

’Ilina’: ”That’s Needle. We travelled here together.”
I draw my shortbow and nock an arrow. If anything attacks, I’ll shoot.

 

The path your taking goes through a small allyway.
The crows caw while circling in the air as you walk down this allyway.
Little squeaks can be heard and a strong smell of rot fills your nostrils as you move further down this path.

 

“...Alright.”
I seem suspicious, but I don’t push it as I cautiously proceed.

I hold my halberd at the ready.

 

Advance, tense.

 

As you both get closer, a few rats jump off and scatter away. A few crows which had landed fly off aswell as you get closer.
The smell of rot gets intenser and you feel like you're going to vomit.
