Heavy Melee With Assassin Is Very Gamer

Even without quake it's still incredibly viable just because of how vanish lets you move

The mistake was Assassin having 80% damage boost on Vanish. Every other class has well-balanced Heavy Melee.

 

If it was focused on %, then it would limit the weapons people were able to use with heavy melee, making easier to control or nerf.
Raw basically means that any item a player wants to use is an item they can use.

 

The raw melee levels on heavy melee are the same relative to base damage as the raw melee levels on fast melee (try some builds and you'll see that the ratios end up about the same). There is no need to limit heavy melee to a small number of weapons (and even now, there's plenty of damage downside to using faster weapons for heavy melee). Percent would make it even harder to produce viable heavy melee, considering the giant differences in base damage between classes.

 

I'm not saying there's not downsides to using faster weapons, I'm just saying it makes it easier to nerf and balance.
Note, I'm not against them using raw, I was just attempting to make an argument for. (As in I don't agree to it, but I was just stating a possible reason.)
