SPOILER A Hunter's Calling Final Boss Issue

So I'm doing A Hunter's Calling and was at the final? fight. I defeated Aledar with little difficulty, but when Tasim went sicko mode it's almost impossible to win?
First of all, there are like 30 other soldiers that just won't die, secondly whenever I even look in the direction of the enemies I get lag that causes me to lose 3 million braincells per second, also making it near impossible to do anything.
With the sheer amount of minions and the crippling lag, all you can do is run in a circle and try not to die until you get pulled into the massive mob of soldiers by Tasim's spell.

Please help or give advice, I have no damn clue what Bak'al was on when he thought I could handle all that.

I think the boss fight is different depending of who you kill first, and I don't know much about Aledar fight after you kill Tasim, but for what I have seen, it seems to be way easier than sicko Tasim.

But anyway, the way I defeated him was to bring him into a corner and kill him there, you will aggro half or even less of the minions. I recommend killing the healers (mages) as soon as possible, they heal waay more than the damage you can deal (unless you are an archer lol).

And even if you manage to kill him, be careful, the guy bugged out 2 times when I tried to beat him. The first time I kill it, then he said something about drop bombs and then nothing, I got stuck in that arena. The second time, the guy respawned again at full health after I killed him, I didn't notice if it was a second phase, but he was EXACTLY the same, so I don't think it was the case.

If it's too much problem, you can try and kill Tasim first instead of Aledar, although that could be difficult since Aledar is paper.

 

I tried to kill Tasim first, but then the arena flooded with minions and I was yet again forced to run in a circle with 3 fps until I died
This fight seems way too much trouble than it's worth

 

Also doesn't he jump around too much to stay in the corner?

 

I heard this boss is meant to be "unsoloable" so if you can't beat it just try to find a party of 3 or so.
Difficulty of intentionally tough boss isn't an issue.

 

Are they really pulling the forced group thing again? Bob's Tomb and Fate of the Olm and (supposedly) Eldritch Outlook was enough.

 

You can kill them solo, at least I beat them alone.

Is there some reccommendation for gear? Anything you should have a lot in?

 

Good damage to kill the mages fast before they start healing. As I said, I recommend to be in a corner and kill him there, if he goes away with charge, just wait until he comes back.

You can always use skill pots, those make everything easier, specially if you have problems tanking hits.

I recommend NOT using fire, air or water weapons against Tasim, since he resist those elements by A LOT (seriosuly, I tried to kill him with a water weapon and it was almost impossible, swaped to a neutral weapon and went down significally faster). It seems he have heavy elemental defenses.

 

just run water mage and spam heal.

 

Surviving doesn’t help you killing things, and the longer you go the more minions there are

 

I was able to solo with a defense pot, and quite a few regular pots.

I used a mana steal build that capitalized on chain lightning + life steal to self sustain, but I found Tazim to be a much better target to fight first & kill. I’m a warrior btw.

 

I found Tasim to be much easier to fight than Aledar, but it's only because Aledar have defences against my elements (air and thunder). As for Tasim, as an archer, I just circled around him while spamming arrowstorm with hawkeye to lower his health. Using AoE spells like arrow bomb helped me dealing with the soldiers, but you need to focus on Tasim because he have some powerful health regen. I think he also have life steal as well, so getting hit is to avoid. If I recall correclty, he is "weak" (just not resistant) to thunder and earth. Using mana potions can also help spamming spells to clear the arena a bit, or to spam Tasim and deal a lot of damage.

As for Aledar, the arena is smaller when you chose to defeat Tasim first, and once Aledar goes berserk after you depleted his health bar once, he starts spamming invisibility and tp. You also have to keep an eye on the bombs. He is resistant to thunder, air and I forgot the last element :/

 

I had a shit build since mine was broken after the update. I didn't get to fix it before doing the dern quests but still managed to solo with no mana/stat pots and my arrow storms only did about 27k dmg so probably just depends on the class you play and your build

 

I play Mage but the only build I have is Morph, the others I either can't use or they give me weaknesses.

 

I beat Tasim but then Aledar's second form got me
Apparently running in a circle spamming meteor is a valid strategy for Tasim

I was happy then I wasn't

 

I heard morph got nerfed a lot (unsure if this is true) I'd just check out class builds for a new build and I think you should be fine

 

Seeing a build is one thing, having the items for it is another.

 

True, can always use the market tho. I'm not sure if I can get back into that part of the quest but if I can I wouldn't mind helping out
