SPOILER A Lightning Round Of 1.19 First Impressions

So, I’ll probably do a full write up reviewing 1.19, but since I have to go to bed right now have some rushed first impressions mixed with really black humore and probably some really bad hot takes
-Quests were good; Point of No Return is far and away the best in terms of story, writing, puzzles, ETC; haven’t done the hunters calling, olmic rune or recover the past

-The weakest quest was probably A journey beyond; I despised Lucio and his rushed arc and was actually kind of glad he died, and the whole light and darkness as elements thing felt too maguffinny . Also the wing section was awful with even a small amount of lag

-Corrupted Undergrowth Ruins’ parkour sections were annoying, but not too awful, although that was probably moreso cuz I used vanish to skip through parts

-Eldritch Outlook is goddamn great IMO, and the Eye was probably the first and only time in Wynn that I’ll ever actually sweat, it was that intense. I love it and I want more like it. BUT

-The Eye died like a bitch and Slykaar had a cooler death. There shoulda been a cutscene where the eye just explodes in fire and brimstone

-I have found exactly one discovery so far

-RIP Olmic mage and Astronomers, your death was more impactful than Lucios

-Lucio gives a bad name to all Lucios everywhere

-Nighthawk is clearly a Destiny Reference don’t @ me

-just like Destiny, nighthawk is going to be required for most archer (AKA Wynn’s Gunslinger) builds. I was actually giggling like a schoolgirl as I mowed down innocent dwarfs in thanos instantly with a walk speed archer

-Assassin nerfs aren’t too bad if the target doesn’t take knockback from multihit but otherwise they hurt a lot

-Vanish nerf sucks ass and the speed boost specifically needs to be extended

-Vanish, weathered, and smoke bomb may be the safest way to clear adds and damage bosses bar none and is probably going to be among the best strats to solo the eye

-I wish I had Weathered

-Shaman is great early game, dunno bout the rest

-Lag is still an issue, give California better servers please

-1880 players on from what I saw is amazing

-Grookwarts really should be more careful about who they let in; we could have been a pedo for all they know

-please, for the love of God, remove dungeon keys from the game. It’s just so goddamn awful to want to try EO but get stonewalled cuz I died on my last attempt, so I have to walk around bored for half an hour until RNG blesses me

EDIT: also
-the thing where Armor stands keep you from right clicking and also block projectiles is super annoying when you’re trying to hit the eye with a smoke bomb but it keeps exploding just out of range cuz of invisible armor stands

So yeah

Oh don't worry, there's probably like at least 20 items that are Destiny references, such as One Thousand Voices, Arbalest, Loaded Question, etc.

 

Oh, I know, but Nighthawk in particular stands out cuz it’s so close to what it’s referencing in power and build

 

I would also like the Eye's hitbox to be lowered by a few blocks so that Archers and other classes can damage it with their AoE spells without having to jump

 

The escort aledar area is so annoying, its almost impossible to finish without mythics or being a mage

 

Yeah the thing with the armour stands blocking your Smokebombs really annoys me when trying to kill the eye, because it always forces me to get right in front of it risking to die.
Also it blocks me from damaging the wretches. 5/6 times I couldn't kill the wretches and 5/5 times because I cast random spells.
