That is wrong, contractions are considered as one word. A contraction may mean two words, but any word count program (or English teacher) only considers a contraction as one word. Example: That's would be considered as "thatis".

 

Could it be 'Death' saying "What do you think are you doing"?

just going to confirm/check that what you mean in hint 13 implies that the overall range on each side is the same
ex: 123456789 and 113456789 would be something like /12/ 345-6789 and /11/ 345-6789.
345-6789 is the same range on each side and the numbers in the / are the indexes of that range

Hint 18: Somewhere along the line you should find the name of a particular episode of this series. The phrase should be VERY obvious once you have that, even if you havent seen the show/that episode just looking it up should give you an idea

What exactly is an index within a range? I never once learned this in school (granted, I'm only in 10th grade), and looking it up doesn't help.

 

ok ill explain it in the sense i mean it. say you have a range of different ages of people (in order): 15, 16, 19, 22, 23, 26, 28, 31
Thats the range. The index for each age is the position it appears in so the index of the age 19, would be 3

 

After trying out (literal) dozens of ciphers, there's been one with a decent chance, but it didn't actually work out as zeroes weren't accepted it in. I'm starting to think the '-' and '/' are to be put in the original numbers, and convert from there, but that would be so incredibly vague I'm not even going to try it. As maybe a question or hint to give, are we looking for a code/cipher or a puzzle after converting base 5 to base 10? Did we even convert it right?

the symbols are meant to be added after converting
its not a code/cipher, you need to find what the range is and which indexes you need (by adding the symbols)

And if so, I still don't understand how we are supposed to get a phrase out of numbers,
that is unless it's some kind of "Alpha Numeric" encryption...

yeah you can guess as many times as you want for the puzzle (though preferably dont spam me with scripts from every TV show ever)
