Nether?

I don't want to seem noob but i probably will anyway. Too bad.
Is the nether going to be added back into the game at any point? or if it still is in the game then why the heck cant i access it? Ive looked around to see if anybody else said this but i couldnt find anything, though i may have just missed something.
This probably seems like a really stupid question in the midst of the 1.19 flood xD

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

By nether, you mean the corrupted portal? which was PVP.
I haven't heard anything about it being re-added, because I never knew it was removed. Isn't there a world selection in the lobby? can't you just walk through the portal and be in the pvp world?

 

used to, but apparently that's not a thing now and it doesn't do anything apart from the particles when you go in. and the world section in the lobby has no worlds on it ever either.
I'm just asking if it will be added in the near future, maybe an unspoken feature in 1.19? they said they would fix a few game mechanics and bugs so this may count as one of them, but i doubt it.

It was removed.
Specifically due to the item charts being separate for both the nether and the actually game, which meant the item team had a lot more work to do in order to keep it up.
